It's complete BS indeed.
Look at your friends with no acne - they are smart and pretty. Look at all the best CEO's, doctors and so on.

or..
A person who is ugly but thinks they are hot and maintains a 2.0 GPA?
Seriously, there is no correlation, it all just has to do on how importanat grades are to you. The whole hot=dumb, ugly=smart, is simply a stereotype made up by superficial teen movies. It also depends on the intelligence you just naturually have. For example, not being cocky, but I am generally pretty smart. I am looked upon as being intelligent from my other peers and other adults, this being the case since I was 3, I am now a teenager. Whether I am attractive or not, that i don't know, but I generally don't spend much time on my homework and manage to maintain a high GPA in higher level classes. so lets say i was ugly for examples sake, even if I had so much free time as you say as I do, that does not generally mean I am working on studies I could be playing videogames and failing school. For examples sake, let's say I am attractive, I do not spend much time on my homework but still maintain a high GPA, that making me quite intelligent to attain such a high achievement with such minimal effort. Bottom line, your theory is quite incorrect, it all depends on the person and the confidence level they feel as a human being.

How do you think sterotypes are developed. They simply dont' materialize out of thin air. They come from reality. They come from the perception of people in the world.
People see certain trends within society.
A sterotype has some truth to it, or else it wouldn't have ever become a sterotype

More often than not, ugly people have low self esteem (due to the lack of attention from the opposite sex) and try to find a way to justify their existance. Increasing their intellegence or becoming smart, is an excellent way to do just that; to give them self worth
You don't become intelligent or smart, you're born with these attributes. You can become knowledgeable, or experienced or wise, but the cognitive ability you're born with is what you keep throughout life.
Take for example a person with a 70IQ and a person with a 120IQ, the person with the 120IQ has a far greater academic potential then the person with the 70IQ.

i think Mr Wiggles has low self esteem. just by going out of ur way to look at someone and say they are ugly makes u the 1 with the problem.
Who is anyone to say she or he is ugly? beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that ugly person to u, may have high self esteem..maybe they think life is more then what they see in the mirror or what society tells us is attractive? maybe that "ugly" person is a very warm, friendly and well liked person..who has become attractive because of those qualities? that same person who probably couldn't give a toss about what anyone thought of them..
Maybe they are strong and confident because society tells them "because ur ugly, u have low self esteem" they rise above that? just like we, who have acne..some of us have changed and become more compassionate ppl, not judging a book by it's cover and rising above such superficial things.

Every friend I have in high school who hasn't gotten laid / or hasn't had a steady girlfriend, is an A/B student. These kids are socially competent, but all have some physical trait which nullifies their qualification as ''attractive''
In fact, I'd say the vast majority of kids with acne at my school, have GPA's over 3.5 unweighted. The same applies to kids who dont' have acne, but are considered unattractive by society's general standards.
I've always thought it was because they can devote themselves to their studies, without any interruptions. I mean with the prospect of getting a girlfriend being non existant, what else is there to focus on? When one dosen't worry about getting sex (because they simply can't and have gave up) then one is bound to excel in their studies.
Of course there is always the exception; as many slow witted people happen to be ugly.
This same correlation applies to attractive people as well. Blue eyed blonds, with double d's are for the most part, stupid. Why? Perhaps because they do not need intellegence to get by in life. Maybe its because they are to concerned with their rampant sex life to worry about something as trivial as grades. Once again though, there are exceptions.
Anyone agree? Or am I just talking out of my ass?
Fuck, that's the most ignorant thing I've ever read in my life. You're just talking out of your ass. Do yourself a favour and grow the fuck up and PLEASE, get out more! What does him not ever having a gf has anything to do with his grades?! WTF!
"Life isn't about who you're dating, who you used to date, how many people you've dated, or if you haven't been with anyone at all. Life is about who you love and who you hurt... it's about keeping or betraying trust. It's about friendship, used as a sanctity or a weapon. It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention. It's about jealousy, fear, ignorance, and revenge. It's about carrying inner hate or love, letting it grow, and spreading it. But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison other people's hearts in such a way that could have never occurred alone."
you might have more gfs then him, you might have kissed more girls then him, went to more parties but you're probably still nothing special.
If you are getting pussy with minimal effort or if the other sex is pre-emptive in attempting to establish a relationship with you, then you are most likely attractive.
In other words, if you have been hit upon, even if only on a semi-regular basis, then you're probably attractive.
wait a second. that still doesn't mean you're attractive. i see fat/ugly girls with their asses hanging out get hit on all the time, does that mean they're attractive and pretty? NOT EVEN.

But what about enviromental factors?
They have a greater impact on your IQ then genes ever could, your IQ can change throughout your life- the brain is like a muscle: If you work out, the muscle becomes powerful and healthy, if you don't it will eventually become soft, squishy and useless.
Much like the brain really.
It's just a matter of reaching your genetic potential, enviromental factors permitting.
