So work is good. I think I'm finally figuring out the stuff that was bugging me like foreever ago. Its complicated, but all you need to know is I'm on my way to making my first breakthrough in the lab and I'm really excited. But I'm not revealing anything until I know forsure. So thats one positive.

Hey what is it? You can tell me! I won't tell it anybody else! So? A new medication against acne without any side-effect..lol.. ..Yeah..That's great.. No kidding! I'm happy to hear that work is fine for you atm..

Hey and I'm sure the 80mg will clear you up soon. And positive attitude is the right attitude. I'm glad to hear that. Keep on fighting sunnyandy...It is worth it. You'll see at the end you'll have beautifull clear skin..YEAH...

btw can you come to germany and banish the rain clouds. The last week it rained all the time here. So you've to come and bring the sunshine back... One smile would be enough

Hello Best Buddies!!!

How is everyone today? Well I am 90% back to my old self. Emotionally speaking. Taking 80 mg a day has been treating me just fine. The breakouts are almost all cleared up and my symptoms havnt really been any worse than they were at 40 mg. Just need to make sure I get 8 or 9 hours of sleep a night. I dont know if this stuff is speeding up my metabolism or what though. I keep losing weight. Not excessive amounts but its noticeable. I have been eating alot though to try and make up for it. Its kinda cool but its worrisome. Well I wont complain just yet.

My skin is almost back to normal. Normal being no active pimples but still white bumps. They actually dont look too bad. Its just they feel bad. When I touch my face I mean. It feels really ugly but it doesnt look so bad. I think continuous touching of my face just aggrevates them. I need to let them dry up so they can come off or fall out or whatever it is they need to do. I hate them.

I got a sample of an Avene (not aveeno) gel face wash. Ive been using it for 4 days and I really love it! It takes the makeup off, but its not irritating and its not at all drying. I am definitely gonna buy the whole bottle tomorrow, even though its $24. Its feels really nice. ooooo.

29 sleeps until I go back to my home town in Saskatchewan. Thats a prairie province in Canada, and no that doesnt mean I am a cowboy or live on a farm or have an accent. His friend is getting married and I wanna be non-acne invaded for the wedding and for visits with friends. I am so nervous but also super pooper excited.

So I was in Seattle all weekend. I apologize to the lovers of that city but I was not impressed. A lot of the people I came into contact with were rude. ALthough some were very friendly. And the hotel I stayed at overcharged me and no one will help me or admit it. I have some person to call, who is supposedly supposed to help me but so far everyone I have talked to has been mean and made it seem like I am an idiot or lying or something. I hate that hotel. Seattle Renaissance Hotel, tell alllll of your friends. I'm sorry if you have a share in that crummy place.

Anyway, I wont go on about it. For Now.

Hi corrine, hows it going? From what I can tell its sounds like things are slowly getting better for you. I think I'm over the crappy breakout I was going through. It really does suck having people know youre on accutane cause you know they are all watching to see how its going. HHHH. I dont like it. I talked to my mom on the phone last night ( I havnt seen her since before accutane) and she always wants to know how its working. I like talking about it with her but I feel sad that I cant tell her I am all fixed even though its been 4 months. Oh well. Hope you have a beautiful skin day too!

Hi apple/mark - thanks for the post. Definitely been on a journey. Or more like a roller coaster ride. Its been crazy. I've always hated roller coasters. As soon as I get on all I can think about is getting off. Same goes for accutane! But I dont think I would have done anything different. Except maybe try to sleep more and eat better. It rained all weekend when I was in seattle, washington. Maybe its cause I wasnt smiling cause I was so mad at the hotel clerk. Well I am back in Vancouver and its beautiful and sunny. I'll try to beam some of it your way!

Never heard about Avene before... but it seems it works great on your skin.. quality sometimes comes with the price..

I'm being punished!!!! I called to make my derm appt today. Which should have been, like, today (so its really my fault for waiting till the last minute) and the first available appointment is June 16th!!! That means I barely have enough accutane left for 40 mg /day. Just when things were starting to look up. I'm really sad, but what can I do? I put myself on the cancellation list but who knows, with my luck I wont get in any earlier.

The bright side could be that I'm gonna buy a gym pass today, so maybe I'll have enough energy to actually go fo a couple of weeks with a lower dose. I havnt been in at least a month. Bad Bad Andrea.

Well I have no new pimples today, but well see how long that lasts. I have a stomach ache, and I am really sleepy. And I have been working really hard at work all day, (I left the computer at home) so I am really proud of myself. I actually just came home to do some stuff while my experiments incubate for one hour.

Thank you all for replying today! I was really excited when I saw all the people who had something to say to me. And I'm really excited that there is a fellow Saskatchewanian in the mix!

Tanya - YAY Saskatchewan! It feels lonely here sometimes with all of the americans, not that I dont love them but its nice to feel like I'm not the only person from Sask with acne. I hope your course has a few less bumps and bangs than mine did.

AllAboutTheTane-yes my eyes are green but they arent THAT green. I wear colour enhancing contact lenses. So they are transparent but they have a tint of colour that enhances my natural colour. And they look really intense in sunlight.

Browneyz- you are probably right about the IB. I hope it never comes back though. I have no idea how long I can stay on. I think my derm thought I'd be finished in 4 months. But I'm hoping I can stay on until my skin is all clear. Which is hopefully no more than a month or two more...Can you beieve you are almost done? I am baffled at how quickly this whole experience has wooshed by.

I am so sleepy and tired and drowsy and sleepy. And hungry. Its almost 8 pm and I am at work waiting for a darned western blot transfer thing that takes 45 minutes. Then I'll drop the membranes in some blocking buffer and incubate them over night in the fridge. Ya dig?

It has been a long day. I came to work 11 hours ago. I took 1 hour to go to the gym at 6. It was my first time in forever and it felt pretty good. But as you may have noticed from my previous sentences. I am tired. I am very dedicated to getting some results in the lab. I want to take 2 vacations in July so I had better have something to give the boss before I take off.

Well I hate acne. Mine is still hanging around. I dont really wanna talk about it. Its too depressing. So lets just leave it at that.

I have 8 days until my pact with corrine is over. It was May 13 she said to me to wait a month and see how things are. I guess I'll post a picture then so the stragglers who still come by my log even though I am a little sparse in visiting theirs, can decide for themselves. To be honest, my worst problem over the past week has been picking. I have one real pimple but every other mark is from me picking the white bumps. Trying to squeeze them out before the swell into some type of vomit inducing cyst. Blah. I'm a dork. I need to see my derm so I can complain and ask for 10000 mg a day. I'm hoping when I get home there is a message from the derms office saying I have an earlier appointment. Cross my fingers.

Okay well I am really itchy cause I am weraing a wool sweater, so I am gonna go scratch myself and then finish up here at work. And then go be bored until mike comes home from work.

andrea ! i really miss you in my log, so i decided to come and visit you.

i see you are frustrated, but let me (from 167 days of 80mg experience !) tell you that right as you near the end is when you will see the most improvement. you will go days without having a zit. i know its kinda hard to believe, but remember those days in my log when i didnt want to live because of acne ? seemingly by magic, those thoughts disappeared. the same will happen for you. the 80mg will definitely kick in and you will be allll better. just give it some time
