Hey Guys, I'm gonna keep this short but for any of you out there who want an update.

So my skin is looking pretty good, but still problems. Still bumps showing up on my face on a regular basis, and two small pimples in the past week. I still have about 20 pills left. Mostly I take two a day but sometimes I decide only to take one, depnding on how I feel. I dont know whats gonna happen when I stop. Either the bumps are gonna stop or their gonna get worst. They seem to get more aggrevated the more dry my skin is. Sometimes I think they are just layers of dry skin or something. I'm done diagnosing. I am ready to accept what I am, well at least what my skin is.

I'm happy with what it is compared to when I started but I really think things could have gone a little better. My skin looks pretty great, but to the touch its not as nice. But again, I hope that improves once I'm done the drugs.

So by all means, be happy for me, but I am still a little annnoyed but this whole experience. I wish it had been easier. I have my fingers crossed that I NEVER have to do this again.

Good luck to you all! I'll re-update a couple weeks after I finish my treatment.

hey guys!
I'm on my third week of accutane. so far i have the common dry skin and dry lips. For some reason the skin on my nose is really rough, maybe that's a mixture of sun exposure(i was outside all day Saturday) and accutane together. My acne is about the same as it has always been, but it seems to be more red.
My only real complaint is how thirsty I am. Today was the first day the thirst has been really noticeable. I must have downed 15 glasses of water all ready but I'm still thirsty. I was wondering if anyone knew of something that would help with this a little? I heard someone mention Gatorade. has that worked for you? I'll be willing to try anything really. I was also wondering if the thirst means you are truly dehydrated, or just a weird side-effect that only makes you feel thirsty. Because the other day I was at a hot yoga class (where its 90 degrees, and you sweat a lot) and for the first time, I felt dizzy, as if I was dehydrated even though I had "enough" to drink that day.

and here's something I believe that is good to think about, or at least has always helped me. I read in a comment above about you feeling "helpless" because of acne. A few months back I felt kinda the same, because acne is something that is ultimately, as much as we try, kinda out of our control. Since acne is something that is cosmetic (although i understand that it can be physically painful too), sometimes I think its kinda funny. Like there's all these times where you work out, diet, and put on nice clothes and makeup just to look nice, but when an important event comes up you look in the mirror and there's a pimple the size of saturn on your nose. As much as that has frustrated me in the past, it kinda makes me laugh cause really it brings you back to earth. Most of us our young (im 17) and acne is kind of a reminder to me to not take life (and looks) too seriously.
That might be totally corny, but that's just my take on it.
I guess its kinda hypocritical, cause im now on this powerful drug. but hey, if you can control it, why not try.
