I just bought some GC6. However I sort of have a complicated regimen right now and don't know where to fit GC in. Right now my regimen is...

AM:

Cleanser, ice breakouts, toner, mandelic acid, sunscreen.

PM:

Cleanser, ice breakouts, toner, BP, moisturizer.

Any suggestions?

AM: Cleanser, ice breakouts, toner, (wait 30mins) BP, (wait 30 mins) sunscreen

PM: Cleanser, ice breakouts, toner, (wait 30 mins), green cream (you may not need a moisturiser on top)

Also, it may be too irritating to use both the mandelic acid and the green cream at first, especially with continued use of BP as well. However, if you want to start bringing it in, I would suggest in the AM, instead of the toner (it makes the toner unnecessary, tbh, since it will re-acidify the skin for you)

Hello there! This is my first post in the forums here though I have been lurking for awhile.

Given that I responded so well to Differin in the past, I am hoping green cream may be helpful for me. However, I'm worried because Differin is contraindicated in pregnancy, and I am trying to conceive. Does anyone know if Green Cream is also not allowed in pregnancy? I don't want to go through the purge if I just have to stop it as soon as I get pregnant.
Thank you so much!

I do believe I read somewhere you shouldn't use it if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant.

I got my GC biggrin.gif Ordered from Diana Yvonne and it only took 2 days to get here. I am sorta nervous to start using it though...at this very moment my acne is not that bad. I've been using a 5% BP with sulfur and today I woke up with no new breakouts which is very weird for me, so I'm hoping that continues. Hopefully I'll get a very small or non existent initial breakout.

For now my plan is cleanse and 5% BP with sulfur or just regular BP and then moisturize in the morning.

Cleanse and then put on green cream every other night for the first week and then every night after that (if all goes according to plan).

Good luck to me!

Good luck! Let us know what happens. And thanks for the info.
I've always had a bad purge with those products, but the end result is well worth it. Really. The only time I've ever had perfect skin is from using topical retinoids, and hopefully the bp will keep it under control for you. Looks like the green cream might be less purgy overall since it is retinol. I"m excited to try it myself once I am done with baby!

=)

Last night I had a bad dream that my face turned bright red from the green cream. I woke up and was scared to look in the mirror but it seems like things are fine. No new breakouts again and not much irritation from the green cream so I'm going use it every night.

I would not recommend starting Green Cream every night - especially since you are using other products as well. Retinoids may not feel irritating to the skin for the first few times you use them, but since the effects of retinoids are cumulative, the irritation can sneak up on you all of a sudden (and it may also give you an acne flare, due to the way retinoids work on the skin and also the initial irritation from the product).

Thanks for the advice Willow ^^ So far it's going alright...I don't notice much change but it's still early on. Hopefully you aren't offended but I am continuing to use it almost every night. I've taken a day or two off if my face seems a little red or irritated, but other than that full steam ahead!

No, I'm not offended at all - I just don't want your face to fall off! redface.gif

Taking a day or two off is a good idea if you get irritation or redness.
