avoid body/hand moisturizers. You can pretty much guarantee that they are not non-comedogenic. I use Cetaphil ($10/16 oz).

check out the list of moisturisers Dan recommends. Also go to cosmetics cop website and search for top rated moisturisers.

Personally I use avene rich hydrating cream and clarins sensitive skin cream...both quite pricey but good if you have very sensitive dry skin prone to breaking out like me.

Eucerin Renewal for Face with SPF 15. This is the first moisturizer I've found that hasn't caused a breakout. I've been using it for about a year. I briefly strayed to a moisturizer from the makers of Carley's Smooth and Clear, but found that it was too heavy for my skin. It absorbed nicely and did not make my skin look oily, but I felt it contributed to a flareup, due to its heaviness. I went back to Eucerin Renewal and everything's fine once again.

Neutrogena is a very safe bet for starting the regimen.

Eucerine Q-10 anti-wrinkle moisturizer. Love it. wouldn't change it for the world.
