does it work for redness?
Hello, Mac:
Yes. My personal experience and that of our group of testers has been very positive. On mild and moderate blemishes, a 10 minute session in the evening will produce a significant reduction in the size of a blemish and even more significanly reduce redness by morning. Repeated again the following evening, the blemish will be significantly reduced in size again. Many blemishes will clear by the third morning and most within a week.
It's a spot treatment, though, so if you want to treat, say, your whole cheek, you'll want to spend more time. The goal is to deliver enough light energy of the right frequency (energy measured in joules per square centimeter) to the affected area. So if you have a few isolated blemishes, 5-10 minutes per day per blemish is usually effective. Larger areas will require more time to be as effective.
The testimonials on the site are really very typical responses. Even the one that seems to be "over the top" (JB Hendricksen) is literally cut and pasted from his unsolicited email to us. I spoke personally to his son and his daughter after we received his message and they validated his message. But still, his comments are so full of hyperbole that we should perhaps rethink using it. Take a look at the site again on Monday and by then we'll have put up more interviews with actual testers. We're also pulling together before and after shots (and getting the approval of their subjects) for the site. You'll see these on the site in a couple of weeks.
So, Mac, in short, yes. It seems to work well for most people. I'm sure there are cases for which it will be not effective, but we have recieved less than 1% of our shipments back and the news back from customers has been positive. As we learn more, we'll post news and guidance here and on our site.
Thanks.
