i just got the book but i didnt see the answers to these questions in the short time i looked thru it and i just wondered what the "cure experts" do...
When you apply the salicylic acid and glycolic acid do you use just apply a pennies worth for your entire face? or do you use more?
Also, when you apply the salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and the bp do you rub it in til its fully absorbed or do you just rub for a little and then let it sit on face?
Finally it says in the book for the salicylic acid: 7. Do this... for men immediately after you shave, and last thing at night. - SO i am supposed to wash face wit salicylic acid after bp at night? that doesnt sound right.
Thanks in advance to whoever helps me!

hi guys, sorry niceguy i dont have the answers to your questions cause i dont have the book but i was wondering if i could hijack your thread and add another question? For the girls on the acne cure, if you are wearing make-up do you just use the SA (i've got the neutrogena face wash) to take it off or do you remove make-up with something else first before using the SA??
Also when i put the ice cube on my face gets all wet and drips, am i suppossed to pat face with a towel or just let it soak up before putting the bp on?
Thanks everyone.
Julie.

Okay as per the book Verbatim:
applying the BP:
1. run an ice cube over the area you intend to treat to cool down the skin until it is thoroughly wet and feels cold to the touch, but be careful no to freeze your skin.
2. apply the BP (that you have kept cold in your refrigerator) using essentially the same technique you used for the SA and the GA. However, first cool down the palm of your hand with the ice cube to avoid warming up the BP too much. Place a small amount of the cool BP cream or lotion in your palm, then apply it evenly across all areas of the skin that show any traces of acne.
3. once you have applied the BP over the affected (and cool and wet) area, place one or more cold packs on the affected areas (obviously if you suffer from acne front and back, you'll have to handle your problem in two treatments). Leave the ice packs in place for about 10 mins. while you lie down and relax. You can use the cool packs they sell in most drugstores, keeping themin the freezer until needed; or you can simply wrap up some ice cubes in toweling. Be careful not to freeze your face; just keep it comfortably cold. (If it gets too cold, just put soe more towels between the pack and your skin)
4. When you're through, wipe of any excess of BP with a soft, dry cloth, leaving the residue in place to work on bacteria all night
hope this helps! As you can see it is supposed to be cold & wet

Verbatim from the book:
Applying the SA
1. wet skin with warm water (if you several areas affected, deal with them one at a time)
2. pour a small amount (size of penny) of SA lotion in palm
3. add a few drops of water rub until the water and lotion are mixed
4. gently massage mixture into skin in circular motion. make sure you cover entire area that has any signs of acne - better to cover too much than too little
5. repeat process in the other affected areas - chest, back and so on. (get help if needed)
6. leave lotion in place for a while ( about as long as it takes to brush teeth) rinse with warm water. Take shower if you are treating other areas.
7. Do this first thing in the morning, for men immediately after you shave, AND last thing at night.
* so guys shave first*
The GA, goes on after you wash with the SA, and it is done exactly as posted above except now you are using the GA.
so the above is done in the morning. Then you moisturize
At night you do the exact same thing, except after the SA & GA you will then ice and but Cold BP on your cold wet face with cold hands. Then you will put ice packs on for about 10 mins. You can wipe any excess off after you take the ice packs off, but I personally don't touch anything after I take the ice packs off.
That's it!

in response to the makeup issue, I just use the SA to wash my face and if I happen to be wearing makeup then so be it. The important thing is to use only these 3 products he recommends SA, GA and BP. I wouldn't introduce any other makeup removers or products into the routine. However this is just my opinion.
Good luck1

Thankyou LatinAries for being so quick and informative with your answers!
So in the book it says to wet your face before the SA? Im sure i read somewhere in here that its important not to wet your face?
Thanks again LatinAries.
