Alright ive had this thing on the side of my jaw for over 6 months. Its deep under the skin and it is very hard if i put pressure on it. I thought at first it was a cyst but it isnt red at all and its been around forever. Im starting to think im going to have to get some minor surgury to remove this thing. I read something in the forums here before that sounded similar to this, but I couldnt find the post. Can someone tell me what they think this thing might be, and how I can get rid of it.

I had a similar thing underneath my jawline on the side of my face. It's been permanent for me, but it's pretty faded and doesn't bother me anymore. I think the reason it's still here is probably because I picked at it so much and it's scarred, so I would advise you leaving yours alone, at least until you are absolutely sure of what you are doing.

It's probably just scar tissue from a past cyst which you might have picked or something, or it could just be a benign tumour, they sometimes occur.

It wouldn't be cancer, so don't worry, but get it checked out, you can usually have them removed easily if you want.

Yeah this thing on my face doesnt bother me too much, but im just wondering what it would take to get rid of it. The way it sits under my skin, it isnt really visible unless i stretch the skin out over it. I know someone posted something here before that sounded exactly like this. Wish I could find the post right about now #-o

actually lol, I just found the post I was looking for. I remembered them describing it as an "albino junior mint"

Maybe thats what I have and I will just have to get it removed. Im just wondering what kind of scarring will be left over from that.
