I’ve just started using ‘footsies’ when I sleep at night. I noticed someone else was using the same kind of patches some time back when I did a search and it’s probably been mentioned a few times so I'm sorry to start a new thread about it but I’ve done so much searching of various things on this site that I’m pretty much searched out at the moment! Anyway for anyone who doesn’t know what I’m on about they’re those Japanese detox patches containing the all natural ingredients wood and bamboo vinegar mixed with red pepper for extra strength, chitosan, loquat leaf, houttuynia cordata, vitC, vegetable fibre and dextrin. They supposedly absorb toxins released from reflex (acupuncture points) which are the reflective zones of our major internal organs and depending on the severity of the toxic build up, detox may take between a few days and several weeks. They say the patches become lighter in colour as less toxins in the lymph are absorbed and that alpha brainwaves are increased during their usage as well as far infrared rays being emitted http://www.thinklife.com.au/footsies/ Have many people tried them? They sounded quite ridiculous to me at the start when I first saw them but I’m willing to give them a shot.
I thought the Bio-Energiser D-Tox Spa sounded interesting http://www.thepositivechange.com/pb/wp_216...749290213267407 but it’s pretty expensive!! I know there’s better prices than this site around.

The patches which look similar to a bag of dry tea are like really slimy and brown when I take them off in the morning. The colour could just be from the stuff inside the bag and the contents must make your feet sweat a lot which brings out a strange sought of unpleasant odour that’s normal when you remove them. Sounds awful but it’s not bad and I hope it’s doing a good job of sweating out some toxins. Will give it some time and post results.

Thought I’d just update here after the other thread reminded me I’d forgotten to. Went through 2 boxes which lasted 20 nights and the patches didn’t get any lighter and always looked the same. I felt no different while using them, didn’t seem to sleep any better (still somewhat of an insomniac) and didn’t note any reduced stress. I’m not in a position to say they don’t work at all, maybe if I’d kept on wearing them and maybe I’m overly toxic, but seeing as I remained a little sceptic because the colour and stickiness in my case was definitely from the contents of the bag being wetted or moistened with sweat, and was splashing out money in various directions on health, beauty and everything else, I went no further with them. They do encourage foot sweating but I can’t help but think a sauna could do just as well if not better due to sweating profusely from the entire body.
As far as D-Tox foot Spas like the link above where the water changes colour dramatically ascribed to toxins being released from your body, the more logical explanation would be that the ‘Energizing Cartridge’ releases a dye which would lighten when the filter is almost ready to be changed. No doubt they are good for the therapeutic use they were intended and apparently used for in some hospitals, if that’s the case.

hey there!
yes i support this detox patches thread as I have one of my own :
"convenient and easy way to remove toxins from your body"
its such a convenient type of "quick detox" if u may call it and i really enjoy the benefits. I just ordered a new box of AcuPeds, they are said to be more potent.. still use the same ingredients.. but of more fresher standard and put together in the USA.
cheers!
