I can't wait til my redness goes away and I can have pretty cheekies, too. How much of Dan's BP do you use? Once or twice a day?
Keep up the great work, hon. Enjoy your weekend.

Hey Danielle!
Glad to read that you are trucking along. We have really similar issues right now. DON'T PICK!!!! is something I have to constantly remind myself, especially when I am not busy - like when I'm at home watching TV. It's a hard habit to break, but we can do it!!! I also have jawline cysts that are being very stubborn. It's like one finally flattens and goes away and two take its place *sigh*.
~I wish you patience and luck~
panacea
Oh Yeah, I know what you mean. I have little sessions where I go to the mirror and investigate what is going on and if I see something I don't like I try to "help" heal it. It is very bad. I have been telling myself "hands off." The other night my husband touched my cheek and I snapped at him viciously. He was shocked. I told him that I couldn't have anything but the clean pillowcase touch my face. We are still working through all of this together and he is becoming more understanding. Keep it up Panacea, don't give up, you can't!!!
Have a great face day!!

Hi Everyone,
I am truckin' along. I am having a pretty good face day. My jaw line bump is smoothing out and has drained a lot over the fast few days. It was a real monster. My husband thinks it was fungus. That is so charming
Day: Wash face gently with Purpose face bar 5 seconds
Pat dry then apply 2/3 finger of Dan's BP (this week going to start 1 whole finger)
Let dry 5 min (do other things)
Apply generously Equate brand face and neck cream. (really good hydration)
Let dry 5 min (do other things)
Apply Bare Minerals makeup all over!
Night: Same as Day
Sometimes: With a couple of cotton balls I apply Neutrogena AHA toner to get ride of dry dead skin.

Your posts give me hope! I've been using an OTC BP 5%, and I ordered Dan's BP Gel (2) about ....three weeks ago? I'm really excited for it to arrive b/c I think that having a lower concentration of BP will in the end, be more effective. I was just wondering if the N on the Spot you used before was a 5% or a 2.5% (like Dan's?).
Good luck!! I'm so glad that you're clearing up so rapidly, it feels great doesn't it?
Hi xentrikk,
Thank you so much for the post. I used N on the spot first and it is 2.5%. It was just hard at absorbing and was expensive. You will really like Dan's stuff the best. I love it. Just please moisturize!!

Thank you so much Tian!! I had a great weekend. The bank celebrated President's Day so that was an extra day off for me. I hope you are going great!

Anyway, enough about me! ha ha. My point is that I think your hubby is probably hurting because you are hurting and he can't think of anything he can do to help you. So take his remarks, no matter how hurtful, to be his way of trying to help. Does that make sense?
They say that people see dramatic improvements after month 2. That's coming up soon for both of us. It's so exciting!!!
Keep your chin up, hon. Healthy skin is on the way.

Ok, so I will confess that I have not been around for a while because I was feeling a little down about my face. I can be very impatient when things are slow. So I said to myself that I wasn't going to quit or try anything new. My face was not getting worse so just keep on keeping on. Well, this morning I looked in the mirror and couldn’t believe it...My left side of my face is now completely clear. My forehead is not too shabby either. My cluster on my right jaw line has totally flattened
To all of you who read this, don’t give up, not even for a day and that day will come when you start to really see it happening!!
Good Luck to ALL!

But, now I am going to start something to bleach my red spots. I am going to continue at the same dosage of BP that I am currently using which is 2/3 finger. I would do more but my face doesn't absorb that much unless I let it all dry in between. I am going to start tanning in about a month and a half to get a nice glow. I will always have SPF of 15 on my face all year round. This summer I am going to get really dark though because it is more natural for my olive skin and I look so much better. I will keep posting on new stuff I try. GO DAN!!!!!!!!

Here I am again. I have been really busy so that's why you have not seen a lot of action from me. My husband just finished his 3.5 daylong ordination written exam to be a minister. He still has to go through 2 oral exams and that is going to be really tough. I have been standing by his side and sadly, all the stress took it's toll on me too. I broke out a little. I got 3 little pimples on my left cheek and one on my right. Though they really are a lot smaller and weaker than what I am used to. Nothing too nasty to report so that is good, I guess. I think that the worst is finally over. But I can tell that if I let up on this BP then I will definitely break out again. My face has not won the war yet. I have started putting on more BP. I put on about 2/3 finger and let it dry then about another 1/3 to just my cheeks. So in total, it's about 1 whole finger's worth. My skin is dryer than ever

That's so great that your hubby is going to be a minister. I always wondered what was involved and how one becomes a minister. Sounds like a lot of hard work, now and in the future. As a minister's wife, your job has just begun! But it will be a great job, nonetheless. Good luck to both of you! You must be so proud!
Keep chugging with the BP. You are a little ahead of me in number of days, I think. But I just started doing a whole finger of BP this week, too. And I'm doing it just like you: 2/3 finger, let it dry, and 1/3 more on the acne-prone areas. Good plan. Good plan.

Congrats on your hubby's ordination!
I am so glad that your skin has gotten better overall. It sounds like even with the little blip that just happened, the overall trend has been improvement. I agree that Dan's BP is the best! Way better than any other BP I've come across out there, including the prescription ones.
I know how you feel about your husband's support, which you talked about a few logs back. My boyfriend is the same thing...he has no acne, and I doubt he's ever come across anyone like me before (much less dated anyone with acne before). I didn't actually have acne until about 2 months ago, so he is surprised that it's happened to me (and I am too).
Well, he is trying to be supportive, but it does seem to scare/startle him when he sees all those red marks and active acne...and he wants me to clear up fast too. He gives me the most ridiculous advice, like "wash your face more often to get rid of the oil and dirt" and "don't wear moisturizer because it causes breakouts"...well, it's not his fault, he just doesn't know anything about acne...but it makes me feel bad having to explain it all to him...at the beginning he was also really against my taking antibiotics, but now he doesn't say anything.
The worst part though is that it just makes me feel so UNattractive around him...sometimes it just kills my desire to be intimate with him, since I don't even want him touching my face. I just can't WAIT to be clear again...

So where have I been? I have been frettin'! Aaron's ordination has made me so tired and busy, I have had some friend drama, and then my little bother just went to Kuwait on Thursday to start his mission to Iraq. He will be there anywhere from 6-18 months. I am scared for him because he is going to be a 50-caliber gunman on the Hummer when they do convoy patrol. Yikes! I heard on 60 Minutes last night that Iraqi territory is the most hostile the US has seen in 100 years. That makes me feel so peaceful and secure!!!
Man, I have just made the 12-week mark yesterday. I'm doin' great! I ordered 2 more tubes of Dan's BP gel and so I just began my second tube altogether. I have come up with the best routine.
I wash with Dove soap or Purpose.
Then I use Neutrogena toner that has Alpha Beta Hydroxy and Glycolic Acid to get rid of redness. (It really clears my pores out great)!
Then when that has dried, I but on my BP and if I have time I put on a little extra on my checks. (My war zone).
Then I put my Cetaphil cream moisturizer on. It is so good for knocking out the dryness and you don't need a whole lot. Before I chose to use it my skin was constantly flaking and I looked so dried up and old. My husband even asked me if the wrinkles were going to be permanent. Poor guy, first he sees me with a bunch of red spots then next with a face full of wrinkles. But I am looking great. If my face is not too dry I don't put any moisturizer on at night and it seems to let the BP do more of its work. I have one little pimple on my right cheeky that never made it in life; he died before he even got started. The pimple slayer was Dan's BP the Great!
To anyone who reads this, you are so lucky you found this place and these wonderful people. Dan's BP gel may or may not cure everyone but it kicks more butt than anything I have ever used!! I can't wait to be clear even if I get a little one here and there that is still better than a mine field and worth being patient. Here is huge key ingredient. Do what ever you can to alleviate the stress in your life because for me no matter what I am doing to prevent it, you can always tell to some degree how I am doing all over my face!!
Keep it up everyone; don’t stop not even for a day. YEA DAN!!!!!!!!
Danielle
To Tina and Willconquer,
Thanks guys for the encouragement. It is nice to see that people were still thinking of me even when I wasn't on for a while. Have a great FAYCE day!!

Anyway, I hope things are going well with the ministry and all for your husband. I'm so excited for you, because this greatly affects your life as well! Have you decided what you will do after you leave the bank?
I was going to try out for becoming a Jazzercise instructor but that didn't pan out? They could only take a few people and I was not chosen. I'm still smarting a bit from that news. But I guess it just wasn't meant to be!
Hope all is well and you are staying clear. I'm praying for your brother.

Tina,
Thank you so much for the encouragement and listening to me when I was down. I am doing great. My problem is completely gone and I am 100% clear. My face is so smooth. My scars have faded a lot but are still there. I am sure they will linger for awhile longer. I have been on the regimen for a total of about five months. I am very happy.
In the morning I wash with dove, pat dry then put one whole finger of BP on all over, let it dry ( about five minutes) put on Mary Kay foundation (best color) and rest of makeup. I use toner about every other day or so.
At night I do the same thing except add my Cetaphil if needed. That stuff is so wonderful. I can't get over how good my face looks!!!
Stay strong to all you out there. It will [i] happen if you are serious!

I read that your brother was in the military...Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force? Which? My boyfriend is a Marine, an infantryman, and yes, Iraq is extremely dangerous, but all the military guys are really well trained! I'm sure you know this, but it's good to have a reminder.
For your redmarks what I found helps a lot is lemon juice actually, just put it on a cotton ball and let it sit. It's a natural skin lightener or something along those lines.
Keep at it! =)

Hey,
My bro is in the Army and he does street patrol in armored vehicles. I am scared for him because he says he sees a lot of crazy stuff. They get shot at a lot. He mans the 50cal. No offense to people in military but I think that the Marines are better trained. I know my brother is well trained but nothing prepares you for war and people trying to kill you all the time. I am honored that he makes it possible to have freedom along with all the other people in our armed forces but I will be very glad for his safe return. Hang in there - are you guys getting married before or after he goes to Iraq?

How are you? How's your skin? Are you still on the regimen? I'm doing pretty well. I'm working in Washington, DC until the end of August. I miss Florida so much. Well, I miss my friends. I am kinda glad to be out of the sweltering heat (though it is quite hot here, too!).
Hope you are doing well.
Take care.
