Strange ... it's exactly the opposite with me; Super CP serum breaks me out, but Trireduction (w/o retinol) doesn't.

Well I have to say these boards have given me a new encouragement. My dad simply told me scars were scars and there was nothing I could do about it! Depressing right? I'll just detail my situation, and ask for help, because not surprisingly I'm a bit confused:

I'm almost 20, so I suspect youth is a factor in choosing the appropriate product.

I'm very interested in combining a CP with some sort of peel to reduce my scars (I have both red marks - a few big, and a host of very subtle faded ones, and ice pick scars on my cheeks).

However, I'm confused about whether to use sacylic acid, lactic acid, Retinol, Glycolic Acid, or beta hydroxy acid. Retinol sounds the most interesting because it stimulets cell activity in some way; but then it seems that the glycolic/CP combo is recommended. eek.gif

Could someone fill me in on the differences between these peels, whether Retinol is actually something different, and how I should proceed; whether any would be preferable considering my age.

I haven't seriously broken out in the last 2 1/2 months, so I don't think live acne is much of a consideration. But I finally want to take some action.

[As an offhand, what do people think of products such as Bio-Oil and Palmers Scar Serum. A women in a health shop just sold me Vitamin E capsules and told me to pop them with a pin and put the VItamin E directly onto my scars. SUffice to say I'm a little dubious...]

CHeers,
---Dan

for red marks copper peptides would prolly be useful im sure but anyway for your icepics.. i dunno. Some people have had some success on icepicks with cp but for the most part it's unlikely. If you really want to improve your icepicks i recommend you read about TCA Cross and have a lot of patience as tca cross won't create signifcant results for a few months. That being said, they are more likely than cp. later.

^u can start with cp serum, and slowly move up to super cp serum, a slightly more concentrated version of cp serum. It will help with ur ice picked marks to a certain extent, but if you want to permanently get rid of them for good, try something like smoothbeam.

CP Serum and Super Cop are very different animals.

If you see improvement on ice picks with regular CP Serum, I will be most surprised. But, hey, you never know. smile.gif If you don't break out easily, you might be able to handle Super Cop in a few weeks (for spot treating only). Super Cop 2X itches less and is twice as strong as Super Cop. I find it much easier to handle.

thank you for your suggestion Robert!
Actually i think i may be imagining my scars to improve, when actually it looks the same. Im just happy that i'm not breaking out with it, but seems to be having a healthy affect on my skin.
But would it be ok for me to move from regular CP to Super Cop 2X and just skip regular Super Cop?? I don't want to afford the breakouts that's why lol.

You can skip regular Super Cop but go very slowly with the 2X. Use the CP Serum a while longer to let your skin get accustomed to it. The creams break some people out (but not me).

I've been using using the CP Serum in the morning for the past two weeks, and then I wait 15 minutes and then I apply Tazorac (both only on my scar areas). My question is if it is okay to apply Tazorac over the Copper Peptides, or should just use one in the morning and the other at night?

Better to use the tazorac in the morning and CP serum at night.
If you want to use them both at one end of the day, apply the tazorac first and wait at least one hour before applying the CP serum.

Thanks for your help. I think I'll start using the Tazorac in the morning and cp serum at night then.

Is the Supercop also blue???

I can't stand the way the blue pigment gets stuck in my pores.

hi,
does anyone have the same problem as me?
been using exfol/cp on n off since december. i got used to cp serum and bumped up to super cp serum. no problems there.
but whenever i use exfol serum, it MURDERS my skin. makes my face look red and irritated. when i go out jogging (sweat), my skin burns. also, when i do gly. acid peels now, my skin looks really badly burned.
maybe it's cuz i use retina micro too, but i only use that like once a week or two.
people say the cp ruins it for them, but for me, it's always been the exfol (with or without the retina).
anyone else?

hey floss,
i got a sample jar of super cop. it's like the cp/super cp serum. except it looks kinda more green than blue. and you know how the serum is thin n watery? the super cop is thick.
that's kinda weird you get blue in your pores from that stuff. maybe you should rub it in more

Do you use it after TCA cross ? If so, how fast...after the scabbing is off or immediately after ?
