Is it still pimply under there, or is it just a scab? If it's just a scab I recommend Neosporin CREAM (not ointment.) When I get a scab like that I'll put a glob of the Neosporin on before I go to bed, and just let it sit there while I sleep. It definitely helps the scab heal.

I don't like the ointment b/c it has a petroleum jelly base to it. I figure putting petroleum on the face can't be a good thing, you know? The cream soaks in better than the ointment, and if I want to leave a glob of it on a scab overnight, I wouldn't want to have a glob of petroleum jelly sitting on my face for 8 hours.

scabs are good tho, they mean the skin underneath is healing. Healing skin = no scars.
I have a scar from knockin off a scab too soon. Very much so regret that

So, you still shouldn't pull off a scab ready to come off even if there is no more pimple underneath??

Uh oh....!

My acne was caused by irritation from cetain chemicals. I basically was using a regimen (murad) and at the time i just had a couple zits and i was told it was perfectly fine to use there products even on areas that are perfectly clear. now im left with horrible marks on the areas were i applied there products. Of corse they made me feel ignorant by telling me i applied it wrong and by educating me about acne and there purging process, not to mention they kept trying to sell me more stuff. lol bastards, anyways ive used products that contain salicylic acid in high percentages Mixed in with other ingrediants. But one of there products, the exfoliating acne treatment gel had 1.0 salicylic acid and nothing eles. It smells pretty harsh like rubbing alcohol/nail polish but since 1.0 was low compared to what i regularly used i thought nothing of it. I think my skin over reacted to it becuase the product only contained salicylic acid.

Im not using anything now except for moisturizer but i notice ive been getthin these huge ass scabs around my check areas where i broke out bad previously from murad. Im new to this scab thing, never in my life i ever had a scab from a zit so it freaks me out, Let me paint you an image. In that particular area it looks really rough and red, almost like a rash with red flat spots surrounding it. I removed a scab from it monday and that scab looked nasty, it looks infected because the scab looks yelloish. After removing it, it looked better but now i have another scab on that area again after 3 days removing it, what should i do? Should i not touch it and leave it alone or what?
