I don't know how different they are. I guess the brownish grey ones are just older marks.

if theyre left over marks from acne, theyre called redmarks. doesnt matter the color. theyre all hyperpigmentation
Just to let you know, not all marks left by Acne are pigmentation. In fact, red marks are called vascular scarring. They are damaged blood vessels from the infections and injury to the skin. They will fade somewhat over time but can be aided by many things.
Hyperpigmentation is the altering of the skins pigment. This is more typical of someone who had sun-damaged skin. Getting too much sun with Acne can cause uneven skin pigment because the structure of the lesions and that of the healthy skin is different. When the pimple is gone, the skin appears to be darker.
Hyperpigmentation will not appear as redness, but in fact looks brown!

Would that surgery made to get rid of those broken blood capillaries in the skin help this problem as well then?
Also, what about vitamin k?

yeah, I have brownish/grey marks too. I think means they're beginning the fading process...but I could be wrong.

I get grey marks too. They start out as red marks and as they heal they turn purple (like a little bruise) then they turn greyish before they fade completely. Sometimes they can stay in that greyish phase for months...my actual scars actually have greyish purple centers, where the skin is missing....
I think it's realted to skin tone. I'm pretty fair, so my skin is sort of transparant, so I think the grey color comes from my blood vessels under the skin....
