I have been using all sorts of stuff like most of you guys. Vinegar and Baking Soda, Lemons, Topicals of all sorts, vitamins and food habbits.

Anyway, I was sick of spending so much time putting all this crap on my face each and every day, so.. I stopped. a week later and my marks have faded bit by bit on their own, and my skin is less red and irritated.

For these marks to heal it is a natural process, remember those marks on your knee's etc you got as a kid when you fell over ? we got heaps of them and they all faded on their own. The only thing I used, which is a great product, is Lucas Papaw Ointment. I use it on my dry lips and it works wonders, I used to have cracks and flakey bits, but since i started using this, my lips are great smile.gif. So after I saw the success of it, I decided to use it on my flakey red spots, the ones that are dry etc. It helped these marks heaps, but it doesn't help fade normal red marks however. Basically, I cleanse twice a day with normal soap, like every other person. I use Dove Soap with Moisterisor. I then use "Natures Organics - Natural Based Skincare" Sensitive Daily Moisturiser. It has cucumber which really calms down and soothes your skin. and rose geranium, shea butter & wheat germ oil (vitamin e). It is fragrance free and has no mineral oil.

After those 2 steps I then just leave it, as long as your skin is calm then it will promote healing by itself. We shoulden't need all these topicals and faders with chemicals and that. Although I do not disagree with using these chemical peels, for them to be safe you really need to prepare your skin anyway and keep it full of moisture so it can heal the skin you are burning off with the chemical agent properly.

So, I am trying this program for a month or so, it's very quick and low maintenance. Ill see how it goes.

I think this sounds like a good idea. I think all the lemons/baking soda/vinegar/egg and all the rest of that shit can tend to do more harm than good.

What youre saying makes sense.Sometimes I feel like my skin is just overwhelmed by all of the products that I use.I dont think that time(for example one year) is the only or best answer for everyone though.(Im not saying that you said it was for everyone,Im just giving my opinion) I have scars from when I was 9 and Im now 25.The fading on some of them is minimal too,I dunno maybe I just heal poorly. And these werent major injuries, just falling off my bike, tripping and stuff like that. But for some people I think just leaving it alone and keeping their skin healthy will do more good then all of these peels and what not.
I might try that ointment though b/c my lips are soooo dry! biggrin.gif
I hope the program works well for you.

Heya, I went to see my dermatologist today and he said my treatment is working really well, (I am on my 6th month of Accutane), and that it's just marks now. I asked him what I could do to quicken the healing of the marks and he said nothing, so I then mentioned the acid peels etc and he said not to read into these treatments or spend money on beauticians, scrubs, facials etc, because they can do more harm then good, and that the best way is to leave your skin and let it heal. He actually said the marks will fade in about 6 months after I have stopped Accutane, because the accutane will actually keep everything red. I only have another Month of accutane and then I am off, so hopefully this way will work for me.

Yeah the ACV/Baking soda regimen really fucked me up and left those redmarks I'm trying to get rid of still on my face and are taking TONS of glycolic peels to get these out of my damn skin!

I agree, for a while I tryed alot of things but it seems like it did alot more harm then good. Im just going to keep it simple, keep my skin clean and then it will do all the healing on its own. Hopefully it works
