I cant even believe that you guys are even arguing this topic. Do you ever see make-up for guys on the commercials, magazine ads. NO, because its not made for guys. guys are seen as rugged, masculine, and make-up is a feminine product. would you accept your little brother wearing make-up. I can see if you really need it, but guys sweat way more than girls, so it'll show eventually. I think that all the people who are arguing equal rights are the ones who are secretly a little sweet themselves. even the girls are saying its not cool. i'm not one to judge, but i am one to observe, and if I saw a guy in my school wear make-up, id make an observation that he was a little sweet, especially if he had no Drastic reason to wear it, like a nasty battle wound or something. if you really want to cover something up, cover it naturally with facial hair or something. I know it seems a little harsh, but come on now.

3. Anything relating to pornography/nudity will be dumped. This applies to post content as well as pictures. The Lounge and the rest of the messageboard are for people of all ages. Please use discretion and common sense. When in doubt, please ask a moderator if something is appropriate or not before you post it.
4. Swearing: Intermittent cursing is ok, but constant, disgusting language will be dumped.
5. No racism or homophobia in any form will be tolerated.
6. Don't share user accounts or create multiple accounts.

hydroquonione is a bleaching agent. aka skin lightener/whitener. it inhibits melanin production in the skin, which is why its effective for brown marks.
i used 4% hydroquonine + retin-A a few months ago. it really did help with my red & brown marks, noticed after about 2 1/2 months. but they were really strong and i had some nasty side effects that i stopped.
hydroquonine is apparently banned in some countries, as it may be a carcinogen. but u shouldn't use it for more than 3 months at a time anyways. its mostly used for things like freckles or sun spots, so it wont work if u have red marks. red marks will go away by some form of exfoliation, ie. peeling via glycolic peels, retin-A, acv and all that jazz.
ive used lemon juice on my red marks for a months. it doesnt get rid of it completely but definately dims them out and makes my face look calmer.
someone on here who worked at sephora said this was a SUPER popular item: Peter Thomas Roth Potent Skin Lightening Gel Complex - 2 oz
http://www.amazon.com/Peter-Thomas-Roth-Li...x/dp/B0000Y3F1W
it contains 2% hydroquonine but also has Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Vitamin C... so its kind of a two-in-one. i am considering buying this cuz i have reddish brown marks... its $55. not THAT bad.. compared to some other expensive stuff ive bought before =P

I've read that hydroquinine is a potential carcinogen (google hydroquinine and carcinogen and you'll get a lot of links to medical papers). I dunno, perhaps I'm desperate enough...
