Hi,

I have oily/pimple prone skin and during my teens and early 20's had very bad breakouts. Over the years i have used many different products to get rid of the remaining red scars. Now i want to get rid of them all together. Can anyone recommend a salon treatment that is effective in removing scars below the surface of the skin? I was thinking about IPL? Has anyone had any success with this or any other treatment.

Hi froggone, first of all, LDanielle is an arse and obviously wants to offer u no help!
Anyway, i've heard that specific skin peels for scars are available, i'm not sure what they are called, but if u get about 5 of these peels (5 layers of shedding skin) it's a huge improvement, it just depends on how deep the scars are. I think they are held 2 weeks apart. If u inquire a plastic or cosmetic surgery clinic, u can get a consultation and the doctor can figure out the best peel to remove ur scars. I think each peel is about $AU 80. Good luck...
