I've taken 2 of these a day for the last month and a half. This has rose hips. They do help.

are these the pills you're talking about?

Yes, they are. They also sale PURE rosehips in a capsule, but haven't tried it so... Try looking for the one warblade found with 2,000 mg.

Yeah, they do. I'm going off it until I'm off tane. All of a sudden I'm not dry, my back doesn't hurt and I'm sorta breaking out. I think this messes with the effectiveness of accutane. Just to be safe, I'll go back on it when I'm off accutane. You're taking 2,000 mg? Wow! That's 4,000 mg per day!

hmm if i take those pills and put rosehip oil on my face then i'll really see twice the results? surprised.gif

Yeah, I'm sure you do. But I'm on accutane so I won't risk anything.

well my dad just bought me a vitamin c supplement with rosehips, it's only 500mg, so I guess I'll take two a day even though the directions say only take one. my marks aren't too severe...so hopefully this WILL help.

seasofink, I bought a 1,000mg one and that said "take one a day". But I took two. Try looking for a 1,000mg, possibly 2,000mg for better results. And of course for better results research into the oil.

For those who want to go along with this regimen, you have to be extra patient and make sure you're taking twice the recommended amount. I've been drinking lemon juice as well as orange juice, I encourage you to drink either one from time to time. thanks.

4-5 months. I guess the reason could've been time, but usually it takes much longer than 4-5 months for numerous scars to heal. But vitamin C's purpose is rebuild the body, so common sense tells me...

I admit my red marks have been fading nicely. However those tablets I take can be hard to swallow because they're pretty huge. I'll give it a couple of more months to see if it completely fades my red marks. eusa_pray.gif

Although 4000mg a day of Vitamin C for a long period of time can't be good for you. I may need to lower it to 2000mg sometime soon.

^^^ No, you're right. I was thinking about that today. Too much. Warblade, look for rosehip oil. I'm sure it works better than tablets. Look in your natural food store.

Don't use rosehips if you're on tane! Rosehips has vitamin A which can increase side effects....

Well I take vit c with rosehips normally, but I doubt it will help much.

It might be coincidental that your red marks faded. They might have been superficial and just faded with time and the normal skin renewal process.

Rosehips have vitamin a from what I've read. So if you're on tane, it may not be a good idea. PLEASE! RESEARCH INTO ROSEHIP OIL AND CONSIDER BUYING IT! If you're on tane, it's unlikely you can go on it due to vitamin A being already in it. There are several positive articles on rosehip oil, and has been known to help ice pick scars. As soon as I'm off tane I'm going on the oil. But I'm going to ask my derm tomorrow if using oil on my face will encourage the sebum glands to start producing more sebum again!

If you guys notice stomach aches, it may because you're taking an overdose on vitamin c. The side effects are online if you do a search.

Red marks aren't scars.

Some red marks are considered to be vascular scarring. These are tiny, damaged blood vessels that are quite often left behind from Acne. They are under the skin and are quite difficult to remove. Along with time, there are a few modalities used to dissemate the appearance of red marks.

So yeah, red marks are scars!!
