Okay, first of all, some of you may think this is crazy and too much for your skin to handle, but I have been doing it for 4 days, and I am seeing amazing results without any drying or flaking skin....I have been doing two, yes two, peels per day, everyday. This first product that I have been using is the Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel. I usually do this right when I get home from work around 3:30. You just apply it to your face, let it sit for 10 mins. and rinse it off with warm water. I will then liberally apply an AHA lotion...Before I go to bed, I do my second peel. I am using the University Medical Chemical Peel. This peel is a mix of Glycolic Acid and Beta and Alpha Hydroxy Acids. This peel is actually quite gentle, and doesn't leave your skin all red...if it does it goes away within an hour. Now, I will do this peel, and then rinse clean, and apply more AHA lotion before I go to bed.

I have had these redmark for months, and I was using Neosporin for them, but wasn't seeing very good results...So, I decided to try something new and this is what I came up with. I am still using the Neosporin at night when I go to bed, but I don't think it is contributing much to the marks. Not only is this fading my redmarks drastically, but I haven't had a single pimple since I started doing this. My face is also baby soft, and has a very healthy glow to it....Just thought I would share my experience, and try to help some of you....BTW, I found all of these products at the local CVS.

The AHA lotion that I am using is a generic Walgreens brand that says Nature's Finest Alpha Hydroxy Face Lotion. 8% of 70% solution. If you have any other question feel free to ask....

I've had my marks for 10+ months. They are fading slowly, very slowly.

i think these peels are for mild red marks. I've given up on my marks... eusa_angel.gif

Yes, that is the stuff! I'm pretty confident that it should work for you too, no matter how old your marks might be. So, give it a try and let us know how it goes. Also, if you have any active spots, it should help with those as well...

Do you think that leaving the acne mark fading peel on your face for longer than 10 minutes would helpt o fade marks faster ?

i mean do you think there would be any kind of reaction if you left it on your face for like an hour

just wondering, would this be a temporary effect? i mean, after you stop, will the red marks return?

SSS-

The directions say to leave it on for a maximum of ten minutes before you wash it off, so that is what I have been doing. I was wondering the same thing, but I was reading through some of the reviews on drugstore.com, and somebody said they left it on for about 1/2 and hour and it left their face bright red....So, it might fade your marks faster, but it will leave your face looking red and possibly make your face a lot more dry.

janero-

No, I do not think this is a temporary fix....it is working the same way as any other peel, these two are just a lot more gentle than say a 30% glycolic peel. These peels are still doing the same thing as the stronger ones, by stripping your face off all the dead skin cells, etc. so, I think this is permanent.

Edge-EL-

I don't know how sensitive your skin is, but mine is fairly sensitive, especially when I switch to new products. When I first started using the AHA lotion, before doing any peels, my face was a little dry and looked white after using it, but I decided to keep up with it and I think my face has become use to it now. Even though my face is fairly sensitive, these peels have not dried my face, it leaves it a little tight right after using it, but after I apply some lotion, that feeling goes away.

I'm on day 6 now, and I am still seeing great results. The marks are fading more everyday, so I am going to stay with it until my marks are completely gone. I got a pretty bad breakout last Thursday and it left me with dark redmarks, but those have completely faded already, and that is only in one week. The only marks that are left are the 2 that are over a month or two old, but they have still faded 60-75%, so I am happy with the results. My face isn't dry at all, and it isn't turning slightly red after the peels, so I believe my face has gotten use to the peels. My face is nice and healthy looking, and baby soft....

No, I do the Neutrogena Mask once a day, usually in the afternoon, and I do the Chemical Peel at night before I go to bed...and I do that everyday.

Haha, I don't know how many times I've seen that comment on these boards.

Any before/after pics?

No, I don't have any before pics, at least not any close up that show the redmarks that I had. You don't have to believe me, I'm just trying to help others by telling them what worked for me....so, don't give it a try, but my marks are just about gone and my confidence has gone through the roof......Good Luck!

Im gonna beat you up if this doesn't work.

lol. Thanks for the suggestions though. I have some confidence in this working because of the double peels a day and they both seem like excellent products. I've had my marks for more than a year, and a few have been there for quite a while that they've become indented and cratered. I'm worried more about the dark red marks on my face, though.

I'll also post back here with my results. I think I'll give this a week at the most. smile.gif

Okay, just give it a try, I'm pretty confident that it will work for you, no matter how old your marks might be. Yes, these are great products...I like them because they are far more gentle than a glycolic peel, so you don't have the risk of burns and redness, so you can do both everyday...Good Luck and keep us posted!!!

Hmm... fair enough, I just think you must be exaggerating at least somewhat. I mean either your marks were practically non-existant or your skin did some serious fucking burning off layers in those 4 days, and it does not sound that way what with the 'baby soft' comment.

Maybe I'm too cynical, but I don't think so really, I just have this feeling you are over-exaggerating however much, and now all these people are running out buying all this stuff you mentioned, probably getting their hopes up for nothing or not much.
