Sometime in early September I started taking 2 tablespoons of ACV 3x a day. Over that past week I started to get stomachaches in the morning after I drank the ACV, and I have cramps in my lower stomach throe out the day. Yesterday I cut down to 2 tablespoons 2x a day, and I did not have a stomachache this morning.

So I was wondering if you can drink to much ACV, and is it damaging to your stomach?

eusa_think.gif it is an acid, so I would guess that yes you can drink too much of it. If you really think 6 tablespoons is what you need....maybe drop it down to smaller amounts at a time. like 1T @ 6 x instead of 2T @ 3 x......less more often my help dilute it and may not over load your tummy.

ACV is not an acid once it has interacted with your digestive juices in your stomach. It becomes alkaline which is why many nutritionists recommend it to people who need to alkalize their bodies.

ACV is considered to help break down gallstones in the gallbladder so this might be why you are experiencing some pain. Is your pain occuring under your rib cage on the right hand side?

ACV is good for you but you should take it in moderation. Two tablespoons three times a day is a little high. The usual dose is 1 tablespoon three times a day in a glass of water. You can always stop taking the ACV altogether to see if the pain goes away, then you will definitely know it is the ACV.
