Hey all,

I have red marks on my back and chest and I'm doing my best to get rid of them.

Current Routine:

- Neutrogena Body Wash with soft massage beads for exfoliation
- Alpha Hydroxl lotion applied after every shower on affected areas
- *new* Asprin Mask Method (my version) applied on back and chest

For the asprin mask, I have a lot of surface area to deal with because the back has much more skin as opposed to the face. Basically, what I've done is I have just added more asprin and water (as needed) to cover the affected areas on my chest and back.

Step 1: Microwave a 4 oz. (you don't need a lot of water) cup of water until it is hot
Step 2: Apply aloe vera on the affected areas (used to help asprin mask bond to your skin and not flake off
Step 3: Take a dixie cup and fill it up about half way. Then begin adding non-coated asprin tablets until there is a paste (not too wet and not too dry) into the hot water inside the dixie cup. You may need more than half of a dixie cup of the asprin/water solution so increase or decrease the amount to your needs.
Step 4: Apply the asprin/water solution on your affected areas on top of the aloe vera and let it sit for about 10 minutes. As you do this more often, you can increase the amount of time depending on how your skin reacts. I peeled a little bit on my left shouder, and that is good news for me because I NEVER peel from acid peels or any other sort of topicals for my skin.
Step 5: Rinse of the solution in the shower or whatever suits you best and apply lotion. I am using my Alpha Hydroxl lotion but you can use whatever floats your boat.

I've done this mask one time and it seems that my marks have faded slightly (may be my imagination). I'm not sure how often you should do this mask, so experiment with what works best for you. I am basically copying the facial version of this, it's just an increased volume of material and surface area to work with.

I'll keep you updated with my results and make sure if you try this you let me know if it works for you! Not many people post methods on healing back/chest red marks so I feel like I'm part of a minority on here sometimes. Good luck!

I did my second mask/application of AHA lotion last night and I looked at my back/chest when I got home from school and the marks are looking better! =) it is too early to tell but that's my impression. I'll keep you all updated.
