I heard a lot of people are trying this to fade the red acne marks that get left on your face after your acne is gone? I was considering getting this done. Does anyone know if this really works?

i have red marks and mild scarring and photorejuvenation did nothing to help the scarring. Actually after i spent the money I researched it and it seems it helped very few people. My new dermatologist says it will not help acne scarring. So i wasted that money. She suggested peels or micro for the red marks.

I had 3 IPLs, i think after the 3rd i had some good results for the redness [which is wanted it for] but i broke out really bad break out during the treatments so it was hard to tell my results.
JCD, you said you had red marks and scaring and that it didn't hel your scaring, does that mean it helped you with the red marks? And how many treatments did you have, your supposed to have at least 5.

I'm having a series of 5 IPL treatments for some shallow pigmented scarring. I'm having my second session in a couple of weeks. Although the doctor told me to expect little or no change after the first session, I have noticed the pigment in one of my scars has completely vanished so I'm pretty hopeful that IPL will be effective for me. I do think IPL's effectiveness has a lot to do with the skill of the operator.
