Heres what I found.
I tried Aplle Cider Vinegar at night times only full strength after showering and leave on till shower in the morning. The results where ok I guess still got the couple of spots but nothing amazing happened like mentioned in other posts.
So then..... I went back and read the original post and tried tea tree oil(with ACV) as suggested by thread starter. This broke me out a little....
Then a week ago i thought i would give the japanese rice vinegar a try instead of ACV and the results have been excellent. No new spots since starting and old spots gone and red marks fading. The results were so good that i went mad at the weekend stayed out all friday and saturday on the booze and didnt apply any vinegar and sunday morning still no spots. For the first time in 9 YEARS i took a shower after football with all the lads and no one was aware that i suffer from back acne. I shower in johnsons top-toe every morning and night (i thimk this also helps as for years i have used harsh soaps and acne gels), and at night follow with rice vinegar and leave on till morning. Its so easy to apply and takes seconds to dry. I actually think for once i am going to have clear skin FINALLY. Thanks to original poster and everyone else who posted in this thread. I urge everyone with bacne to try Rice vinegar GOOD LUCK

(I also change my towels and sheets every 4-5 days, rotate my pillow nightly, use a separate towel for my face and drink 1.5 litres of water minimum daily, and eat minimal dairy)

I think I may have to pick up some rice vinegar after work. I have been breaking out like crazy on my back, and now my chest
So how did you apply it? Using cotton balls? Or just using your hands?

This is what I've been doing:
I've been using apple cider vinegar that's been diluted to 5% acidity (It still actually stings on my skin when applied alone because my skin is really sensitive) and I mix it with one part water, leaving an equal water to ACV ratio. I use a cotton ball to apply it and make sure my skin is pretty wet but not actually dripping with the ACV (I do this only at night) and leave it on overnight. I actually leave it on all the way until I shower again the next night (you can't smell the ACV unless you work out) and I don't put it on again until before I go to bed. I've been doing the same thing every night for the past four weeks or so and I'm loving the results. I'm thinking about using just ACV without any water to see if I get faster results, but I'm going to keep doing what I have been for now just to see how things go. Good luck everyone else!

i was pretty excited that this would help my chest and shoulders. I put it on before bed ( not washing it off, besides the shower in the morning). are you supposed to wash it off?
I dont wash it off.

should i stop taking the antibiotics?
What type of body wash should be used? My dermatologist has recommended that i use Panoxyl Antibacterial Creamy Wash with what i do now, which is a wash normally for the face and even says in the instructions to use only on the face, but he recommended it?? Any suggestions?
Overall, should you not be using any other cream or medication??
Thank You for your response.

1. you absolutely HAVE to use the tea tree oil with the vinegar or can you just use the vinegar alone by itself
2. how long did it take to clear your back
3. would regular white vinegar work?
THANKS A BUNCH!!!!

What I do is fill the bottle cap of Rice Vinegar (one I'm using is already diluted to 4.3% acidity) full and pour some of it into my palms and work it into my back/shoulders/chest with my hands. I repeat this until the cap runs out of vinegar. I then pour another cap-full of vinegar and drink it (you get used to it eventually).
At night I do this before I sleep without washing off the vinegar (keeping it on overnight). In the morning I work in another coat of vinegar + drink before I step into the shower.
Been using for a week and a half now:
-Smoother skin
-No new break-outs
-Scars fading
It's truly remarkable. The only downside is the initial stinging and lasting smell. Well worth it imo. At one point I broke out because I used moisturizer after application in the first couple days, but after discontinuing that I had no issues at all.
Gigantic thanks to the OP for this, it feels like an eternity since I've gone to the beach without a shirt. Now I'm looking forward to summer!

It probably works without, but unless you have a specific reason not to use Tea Tree oil, you might as well. It is a proven product. Just don't pay the prices you see in stores. Go to Ebay and you can get it far cheaper. (~125ml pure $10)
I don't know if it's just me, but white vinegar caused a huge outbreak in <36 hours. I had literally dozens of whiteheads on my chest (test area) appearing between 18 and 36 hours after application.

For the past month, i had been using apple cyder and a few drops of tea tree oil to clear my back and chest acne but i started getting red bumps. I'm not sure if it's b/c i didn't dilute the vinegar or what not but a month later, I still have acne on my back and chest with really obvious scars that hasn't cleared up. However, i'm not saying that the vinegar didn't work..
Now i'm gonna try white vinegar and dilute it to see if it works better this time
Other than lemon, does anyone know any other ways to get rid of scars? I have really noticeable scars on my back and chest and i think thats whats bothering me the most.
Also, does anyone find it hard to stop touching your acne? I have a habit of touching/scratching/popping the acne on my back and i'm trying to stop it but it's hard...
Please help.
