Hi Guys,

I have realised that taking showers everyday increases the bacne and I have realised this happens because when you shower you neck and shoulders get quite a lot of hot water pounding off them and this opens the pores but then because we rarely put ex foliating shower gel on our shoulders therefore the pores open and then when we sweat the pores fill up with the oils and sweat therefore causing the infection. [/size]

I have started taking 2 baths a week with dead sea salts and this has cleared up the bacne enormously but i still use apple cider vinegar and other such things.

My sister also rubs salt and lemon juice on my back before i go for a shower.(Leave it for 2 minutes) but it does sting slightly but it does the job.

One More Thing DON'T eusa_naughty.gif push down on the pimples on your back and don't pop them with bare fingers because if there are other open pores when you pop the pimple it spreads the infection so always place a hot towel over the pimples to tenderise the pimple and make it less sore to pop and cover your fingers in tissue and then pop and clean immediately.

USE Tea-Tree Oil everyday.

************HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL FOR SOME OF YOU****************************

Ok so I've been using the organic brown rice vinegar on my face for about a month now. My face is much oilier than before and my pimples are less though my face is not 100% clear. I actually have tiny bumps on my forehead which did not exist previously. Did anyone have the same experience?

@Showers causing bacne.... Yea, I figured that out like a year ago... I dont know if what youre saying is true about pores and stuff... Personally, I just think that when you shower alot, you get rid of the natural acidity of the skin, and you kill off alot of good bacteria along with the bad ones... So you end up defenseless against acne.

At the guy using vinegar on his face... I never used it on my face, aloe vera on my face every night till morning cleared up most of my face... I get a cyst every couple of weeks (1 live and one dead one at the moment), but the little ones are practically 100% clear.

Also, about my back.... Currently 1 live one on my back, and about 2 live ones on chest... Down from 10 on each before vinegar!

Hey guys

Its been a year or so since I posted (and amazingly 6 years since my original post), as I've mentioned before the Vinegar and Tea-Tree oil pretty much cured my bacne, these days I probably only use it once every couple of months. Its pretty humbling to think that I've helped so many people.

As I said before, give it a try, it only cost a couple of dollars and you've got nothing to lose other than your spots. The reason I come on here every now and again is that I'm still angry at the Dermatologists and other doctors that prescribed dangerous pills and expensive topicals to fix a problem you can solve at your supermarket for under $10.

I've noticed a lot of people complicating the idea - to summarise what I do. I put a couple of drops of Tea-Tree oil on my hands and rub it over my back using it as a type of exfoliator and then once I've rubbed that in I pour some vinegar on my hands and rub it into my back and again rub it until its dry (my skin is very oily so those more sensitive skin might want to take it a bit easy with this and think about diluting it). I usually take a shower straight after I've rubbed the vinegar in so I don't smell like a salad smile.gif

Hope you guys have continued success with this technique.

All the best with your fight with acne.

M.

Would you use this within Dan's regimen, or would using it with BP be too harsh on skin?

I never used BP on my back, I was always worried about it ruining my clothes and its pretty expensive stuff too.

Hey guys!

I just stopped by to say that this vinegar thing completely worked for me. What I use is a certain type of vinegar I have in my country (Eastern Europe), so I'm not sure if it's possible to find it in America or elsewhere. It's called alcoholic vinegar and it's very strong. The packaging says it's a 9% solution. All of my bacne just stops "growing" after I apply it. I use a cotton pad and don't wash it off afterwards. It's only been a week, however, I've really cleared and I expect it to all go away. And only once a day is enough!

I've been having acne everywhere since puberty began. From the age of 21 I was on birth control and had the most beautiful skin, but after 4 years I just wasn't comfortable with taking hormones every day, so after a couple of months after stopping with the pill everything came back, the excess hair, the oiliness, the pimples... And then I found out about the vinegar here and it turned out to be a magical solution. It feels good to know I don't have to go on the pill again.

QUOTE (Mikka @ Aug 24 2005, 03:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hey guys

I dont pop into this forum much anymore - since I cleared up my acne I really haven't had the need - but I thought I'd pass on my experience to hopefully help some of you guys out there still struggling with acne.

Quick history on my acne before I pass on my personal bacne cure - I had pretty serious acne for 17 years (I'm 31) and had it on my face and back - the acne on my back was cystic and quite nasty whilst my face was generally less cystic.

My face has cleared up with the regimen (I use a lot less BP now than prescribed but it seems to keep my acne at bay, amazing considering I had used BP since day one but not knowing the appropriate way to apply it meant years of nasty facial acne).

My back resisted all attempts to rid it of acne - I tried accutane (was too harsh and I ended up sunburnt all the time back in Australia where I grew up so I gave up) and I tried a number of expensive topicals that did virtually nothing, I'd kind of given up hope an resigned myself to a life of bacne when I read about using vinegar on your face to get rid of hyperpigmentation so I thought I'd give it a go to get rid of the red marks on my back that had formed as a result of the cysts and would stay for weeks if not months before being joined by new fresh red marks.

So off to the supermarket I went and the only vinegar I could find was Japanese rice wine vinegar so I bought it home and tried it (I found it worked best by using it with a bit of Tea-Tree oil), well the results were amazing, within two weeks my back was clear of spots and the marks had faded significantly within three weeks. I have to say I was stunned. The truly strange thing is that its been almost a year since I first started using it (at the time nightly) my back is completely clear and now I no longer need to use it as regularly, I probably apply it once a week if that and my back stays acne free. I still have the original 375ml bottle from last year which shows how little I need to use these days.

If you've made it this far through this long post I'd like to say please give it a try (the smell can take a bit of getting used to but believe me its worth it) and thanks for listening and I wish you all the best in your fight with acne.

Good luck, hope it works for you like it worked for me.

M.

This is really great, congratulations to you Mikka! My niece have the same problem and I'll let her know about this vinegar cure. eusa_angel.gif

i have had backne for years. chronic unrelenting scarring backne. I've tried diet, meds, vinegar scrubs - nothing worked

however i also suffer from a bad back and collapsed hip all caused by a slight knee dislocation years ago that wasnt diagnosed properly. I finally got sick of my chronic pain and through a combination of pilates and yoga and damn hard work at stretching and relaxing muscle groups I managed to get my back straightened and my knee aligned and my pelvic girdle to stay even. The day I got myself straight i felt that the texture of the skin on my back and chest changed - it no longer felt rougher and thicker. Instead it was soft and smooth just like th skin all over the rest of my body. I also noticed that my skin in these areas was imemdiately more pinchable and elastic. And I havent had a single new pimple appear since that moment.

i dont know if it was poor posture affecting my glandular systems that were putting unnatural pressure on my organs or that my skin was unnaturally stretched over a warped and twisted torso that was causing breakouts

so guys if you suffer from chronic backne and you have a bad back/hip combo and have poor alignment/posture you might find that the two are very related. consider working on your alignment as a treatment for backne as well as getting that extra inch of height back and the dissapearance of the chronic back ache.

good luck to you all

Hi, I have had issues with deep, painful acne on my chest and back for years that left white scarring. I was googling a week ago and found this post. I immediately went to a little organic grocer on my street and picked up 4.9% rice vinagar. I rubbed a small amount on my acne before bed and the NEXT DAY I noticed that I didn't have any new zits.

I have been using it for a week and I don't have ANY new zits and the old red ones are slowly fading!!

hey there once again....just a small word of caution from personal exp to ppl who are planning to try ACV...
i have red marks from acne on my back shoulders and forearms...read this thread and i got myself a bottle of ACV (heinz) and started using it less than a week after reading this....it has been a little over 2 weeks now and 1. yep it seems to work....(will post more on results later).... 2. stinks really bad...and 3.hard to apply, as it is like water and it drips...making you feel sloppy...
anyway the point is...some acv that i apply on my shoulder and arm has dripped to the inside of my arm(which is clear and smooth) and i dint care much about it....but later i noticed i had small mild rashes ....but that too faded away like in a couple of days...so think before applying on sensitive skin...
and yeppp i dint dilute it...i use it directly...

Wow this is an old thread lol but I was just curious if applying the apple cider vinegar or whichever kind you guys use diluted half and half with water then waiting for it to dry THEN adding tea tree oil might be the best bet? Two times a day that is
