How come no one on this board uses this laser treatment? the cost? the speed of recovery?
Im taking this treatment to consideration.. after severe acne.. and I don't know if the glycolic peeling.. or all the apple cider vinegar elements that people like delena suggested would work... what do yall think?

WELL.. its been my 2nd treatment last saturday.. i can see improvements .. but i guess it takes time for everything to significantly change... so far my overall redness has alleviated.. but some of the deeper red marks are still there.. i am gettin a treatment every two weeks.. the doctor recommended 3-5 for a 90% recovery.. not sure whether that is true.. but i'll have to wait and see .. and if this dont work out.. i guess IPL will be my last resort..

Generally V-beam sessions should be spaced 1-2 months apart, as that's the time it takes for the coagulated blood vessels to be reabsorbed by your body (and for the full results of eash session to show), so I'd have a talk with the derm if I were you. V-beam is good for diffused redness, but with individual redmarks, Smoothbeam might actually be more effective because they're not enlarged blood vessels, but rather broken skin tissues causing the "red" in the underlying dermis to show through. So by triggering formation of new collagen the theory is that those broken tissues would heal up, minimizing the redness.
I had a V-beam done about 3 weeks ago, didn't do much for my red marks (but did lessen my diffused redness), and will be getting a Smoothbeam next week.

It depends on the area being treated, but for me it's about $200 per session.

Yes, 2 weeks is too soon in between vbeam treatments, it is supposed to be 4 weeks, or so says the company.
I know that vbeam is an awesome laser for redness, including red marks from acne. It is best to use it after your acne is clear so you know you won't be getting new marks. With the vbeam, they target individual marks 1 by 1, only takes a few minutes and after several treatments the marks will be gone.
Have seen it with my own eyes. Highly recommended!

Yes, the red marks were severe. The lady that I saw it work for had them all over he face too. She had a treatment every month until they were gone, I believe it took 3-4 treatments.
