Hey
I Have Bought John Plunketts Glyco Peel and The has 25% Glycolic Acid. But you wash your face and put 1-2 drops and cover your face or the areas, rub for no longer than 1 minuet and rinse. It said it would get rid of blemishes, Do you think it will fade some red marks? Please help!

Balanced pH = good

Baking Soda is basic in nature, so you use it with the acid to balance the pH value.

I dunno though....... dont take my word for it.

Normal skin has a PH balance of 5.5 - 6.5

PH 7 is neutral

Anything higher than that is considered alkaline.

Baking soda is an acid neutralizer. depending on its use, it can be good or bad for your skin. This is why its recommended for after you do an acid peel.

Best to get rid of redness using an asprin mask instead of baking soda masks as long as you're not sensitve to asprin products. (The aspect of asprin is that it is anti-inflamitory)

Glycolic is a small molecule which some people like, but also some people can't tolerate it. Glycolic can make some people very irritated so be careful and watch for signs of sensitivity.
