I began using an OTC bp gel last night, and though I feel it's working, I've been experiencing some major itch. Is this common? A symptom to tell me that it's doing its job? I'd appreciate some insight. Thanks in advance.
Take care and God bless,

Ya thats common. It comes with the dryness. And plus if its your first time your skin isnt used to bp, so its just having a bit of a reaction. This will subside over a couple of days. Just remember to moisturize alot.

Hey dont panic when i started using BP gel my face was very red and itchy and a nightmare. I think you have to create a rountine and a formula that works best for your skin type. I use the Panoxyl BP gel 5% now as I started on the 10% thinking it would work better, personally it only dried out and irritated my skin more. I also cleanse tone and use a really good moisturiser before i goto bed, then put on the BP gel. This is instead of washing my face- then applying the gel like the packet suggested. I found personally that my washing my face before the BP gel it made my skin too dry and over sensitive.
Be patient and give it a go hun.
