I was wondering if anyone knew or has experienced any long term effects of using bp for a continued amout of time?
I have used bp on and off for years and wondered if continue use for years to come will have any long term effects.
Thanks

BP does not cause premature aging. On the contrary, bp is an anti-inflammatory. "wrinkles" are temporary dryness, so make sure to moisturize regularly and you're all set.
I have been using bp for 10 years or so and the areas where I use it are tighter and younger looking than the rest of me.

1) If you use BP during the day, follow it with a gentle non-acnegenic sunscreen. This is very important. You can use just a very small amount and spread gently. The SUN is a huge contributor to premature aging of the skin - not BP. BP, however, does act as a catlyst for the sun on your skin, so you've got to cover any BP use in the morning w/ sunscreen. I find that sunscreen during the day is even more important than moisturizer to keep my skin looking good.
2) There should be no need to put BP or any acne treatment under your eyes. Avoid the eye area completely when applying. No BP, no mask, no ANYTHING around the eye area. If you aren't doing this - maybe take a look at your eye makeup remover (if any) and cut down on eye makeup? If your bags are caused by lack of sleep, however, well - you can figure out how to fix that.
Let us know how it goes!

I do believe BP causes premature aging. It's only common sense that it would, as it releases loads of damaging free radicals into the skin. But, even knowing this, most people (including myself) use it anyway... Shows how desperate we are for a cure I guess.
