Picture this: Our PR guy and I are presenting bp gel to CVS. The presentation begins. You see before and after pictures of people who have been successful on the regimen and in the background they are speaking about their experience.

So...I need a way to capture people's voices. Here's what I thought so far. If you know about this stuff, I'd love to hear what you think and if you have other suggestions.

Option 1: Have people call my 1-800 number. Yeah, we have one, but I've never used it. So anyway, the person leaves a message detailing their experience on the regimen. I call in to check the messages with a tape recorder at the ready and just put the recorder right up to the phone. Thing is, this isn't digital, and I eventually need the audio in digital format.

Option 2: Um. Ok, I have no option 2, and option 1 sucks. I need help smile.gif

Thanks!

I'm not an Audio Expert. Well I haven't gone to school for it, but I've been working with audio production/engineering and recording for about 7 years. Mostly I handle the recording of the vocals and pre-mastering. The best way to capture the vocals would be on a proper microphone, a condensed studio microphone. If you are going for that telephone effect, you could achieve that this way as well. If it is a part of a presentation, they could record the vocals, and then the vocals could be mixed for the presentation (Powerpoint works good for presentations.) The main issue is getting those people behind a microphone.
