My shirts are getting bleached! Some of them have pink colorations around the colar...And SOME ARE LIKE sooo bleached all around. I even found some bleach on the back! I have no clue how it got there but maybe i was rubbing my back!
This really sux...DOes it happen to you guys? I think 3 shirts are now gone with the wind. The funny thing is that i have been on this regimen for 6 months. And now it started happening...Doesnt it bleach sweaters?
Any tips(other than the obvious) to avoid this dilemma?
Does the BP bleach even after it has been absorbed by my palms or face?

Thanks biggrin.gif

P.S. Yeah the regimen is working amazingly with me!

Yep I got a few of my shirts bleached by BP. It sucks bcuz the shirts are ruined. I always wear a white shirt at night so that you can't tell it's bleached.

My husband's shirts get bleached, too. Mine don't. He uses the Bp only at night, and then it dosen't matter because he uses the already bleached shirts to sleep in.

Try rubbing it in even more. Very gently, though.

I have noticed, and other people have too, that blues seem to be the worst with this problem. For whatever reason, reds, blacks, corals, and greens seem OK, but if it's blue, or something like it, like grey, navy. . .it bleaches.

Make sure your BP gets almost completely absorbed, if it dries on your skin and rubs onto your clothing then it will bleach the clothing, so make sure it is absorbed. Be gentle and don't be lazy with it.

I've lost some t-shirts over the years too and some non-white towels. I've prettymuch followed the Regimen to the T for a few years now, but this is just an undesirable side effect. For some reason (and I agree with others).. it really shows up on blue shirts the most. It tints it a reddish color pretty quickly if you're not careful and I got it around the collar the most. Grays, white, green shirts...haven't really had a big issue with any of them. I usually wear a NIKE dri-fit cutoff shirt to sleep everynight, comfy and no issues w/ BP.

I would of course advise against wiping your face w/ ur shirt (something I used to do frequently in college while playing sports), wearing whites and grays freely (which I've never had a problem with), not touching ur face during the day at all though its tempting, and never putting on a t-shirt unless ur fully dry and tight in the face. Good luck

I've had my bed sheets bleached, my pillow cases, and my shirts. One (rather thin materialed) cotton blue shirt of mine had to be tossed, because not only did it bleach the back of it severely, but it also made it see-through in spots! That was something I wasn't expecting.

I've prevented my problem from getting worse by wearing special "BP nightwear". Nothing fancy, just regular light colored nightwear that you can expect to be bleached here and there. During the day, I don't put BP gel on my back or chest because I don't wanna ruin my clothes. Also, make sure that you put the gel on your face AFTER you put your shirt on. Hope this helps.
