First don't use a cleanser with any type of alcohol, oil, or fragrance those are badddd
and just wash 2x a day anymore will make your skin hella oily
I have the same type of skin as you
but i use a gentle alpha hydrox cleanser then put on some alpha hydroxy lotion on the dry patches so it exfoliates gently then put some bp all over my face 2.5 % seems to work pretty well
exfoliating too much is bad when you use harsh stuff =p using a gentle one works fine tho

cetaphil=GOOD! im using the gentle cleanser and i love it! its actually helping clear up my red marks and its so gentle! to the orginial poster- if you have acne, any cleanser that's labeled "scrub" is ususally a bad idea. while these products claim to cleanse deep down in your pores, what they actually end up doing is irritating sensative skin and aggravating the acne that you do have already. ive found that the gentlest cleansers are best- ones not meant for acne- and then you can use a stronger topical without overdrying your skin.

well i found that cetaphil seemed to dry me out too bad and it broke me out you gota just find one that doesn't strip your skin and make it shiney or make it dry
because the dry skin will most likely clog your pores and then the shine isn't good means you stripped too much of your surface skin and it'll most likely make more oil
hope these tips help

I HATE cetiphil, it broke me out like crazy, both the cleanser and the wash are crap I think. I still LOVE alpha hydrox foaming wash, I have been useing it for over 6 months, I have tried other things, but always venture back to that, and the only reason I try other things (cause my skin isnt broke out or anything)is just because im curious. When my skin gets too dry or after a peel I use a moisturizer that cost only $4 for a 12oz jar (and it has never broke me out)works awsome it's called udderly smooth. They sell it at walmart in the bandaid isle or walgreens in the skincare isle. Also the new stridex bp pads 2.5% are awsome, not drying at all. I just did a jessner peel, so right now all im useing is the alpha hydrox foaming wash and the udderly smooth lotion. but after I am done peeling I am going to start a new regime. Morning- wash with alpha hydrox foaming wash, use stridex bp pad, apply alpha hydrox enhanced creme (I have used the wash and the creme morning and night before and that cleared me alone, but I want to ensure with some bp)then nights- wash with alpha hydrox foaming wash and apply neutrogena healthyskin anti wrinkle/anti blemish cream (never used it, hope it works, I want to use it more for the retinol, but the sa in it might help)and I plan to use my uddery smooth cream under my eyes.
