Hi Dan,

Having read through all the old posts in this forum, I don't think this question has been answered.

I'm left wondering, undoubtedly you have extensively researched the area when designing your product, why did you opt for BP gel as opposed to cream or the wash? Any particular reason?

I'm thinking of experimenting with the cream and the wash, but I don't really know if these are as effective as the gel?

Also, what are your thoughts on the panoxyl range?

Because in the UK, I believe acne sufferers can get these products free on prescription.

Cheers

Dave

Well, I'm not Dan, but -

Clearasil is a 10% BP cream product. The substance is almost chalky, leaving a white residue on the face.

With a wash, I'm guessing that the BP doesn't soak in as thouroughly.

Overall, gel seems a good choice since it goes on mostly clear and works in the skin for hours.

Yeah, thats kinda what I'm asking and wanting to know-

Is a BP wash effective?

Also, the clearasil product is destined to be crap anyway, but what do you reckon to a product like this,

With natural emollients, it could spare the moisturising?

Hi Dave

Yeah im also curious about the difference between gels and creams. i live in the Sth Pacific and its hard to get the gel versions here. All that anyone stocks is the Oxy 5 or Oxy 10 Bp vanishing creams (containing moisturiser). I have been using them together with an Oxy Gel Wash that contains triclosan.

My skin is kinda rollercoasting... some days i think its getting better and then i have days like today where its totally worse.

Im curious whether i should just ditch it given that its not the gel versions?

Please help...

What cleared me up after a decade or more of experimentation was using generous amounts of 2.5% bp. The generous amounts part was the key. A wash isn't going to allow for generous application.

As far as panoxyl goes, I'm a bad person to ask 'cuz I never tried it, but it has a pretty bad reputation for irritation from some things I've read on the boards. People seem to like oxy on the spot better.
