Hello everyone.
. I am one of the many unfortunate people who has clogged pores
, but I have found that exfoliating daily helps me out. Last summer I was doing botchla's regimen and while using the blackhead clearing scrub, my pores were really clear. But I stopped botchla's regimen because I kept hearing that exfoliating too much can scratch your pores and mess up your skin, so I stopped. For like 8 months my pores have been really cloogged until, I started to use the dove cleansing pillows (textured on one side, soft on the other) and finally, my pores are unclogging. Question is, will this really mess my skin up later? I also find that it helps with the marks. I usually dont get more than 5 pimples at a time, but the ones I do get scar. Since I dont have alot of active acne, its not irritating my face or is it? I just want some feedback as to what you all think
.

I scrub once a day, everyday and it seems to work for me. Oh and I make sure that I don't skip a day. I have smoooother skin, my pores seem smaller too and my scars are dissappearing faster.
If your skin becomes irritated or too sensitive, then I would say that you should stop. Just don't scrub too hard. I would say that you shed dead skin anyway, scrubbing just speeds up the process.
I posted my regimen here : http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php...=ST&f=2&t=52881

exfoliating is the reason why i'm almost completely clear.
I think the term "scrub' has to be changed. It sounds just way to harsh. There are actually natural exfoliators and gentle scrubs out there. I recommend anyone who has mild to moderate acne with virtually no cysts or painful pimples to exfoliate at LEAST twice a week.
There is a reason why someone invented exfoliators...and there's a reason why people continue to buy them. It can really make a difference when used wisely.

18 your right about the mild to moderate part, because that is where I sit. I dont have very many pimples so its not like Im really irritating my skin. And like Alicia0 said, I do it gently.
So thanx again, I just needed reassurance.
