Before I went on Mino I had laugh-line zits all the time. Mostly at the corners, though almost on the lips. I would grow a beard to cover them, though. Also, I would generally pop them because I would rather have a red mark there than a white head; at least then it would just look like a cold sore.

avoid chapstick with moisturizers and cocoa butter they will make you break out around your mouth. fluoride, i dont think so.

Mouth is an easy place for bacteria to grow. I suggest not touching the area around your mouth unless you've washed hands. Don't go too heavy on the lip balm and make sure to wash the area well.

i have been getting a few of these recently too, they tend to come in waves and i get a couple right next to each other..... they pop up quick and tend to go away in 2 days
could these be caused by stress???
what about burt's bees lip balm?
:beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower oil, tocopheryl acetate & tocopherol (vitamin E), lanolin, peppermint oil, comfrey root extract, rosemary extract

what toothpaste do you use? Avoid toothpastes with sodium lauryl sulfate and pepperment

well i get small but painful whiteheads, that are inflamed, around my mouth, as close to the lip line as is possible. it is horrible and i hate my boyfriend seeing me like that. i don't know why i always get them there. i have moderate acne so it's everywhere on my face and neck.
good luck.

you should go and see your doctor or a dermatologist. It could be periorial dermatitis and often some of the make up, and shampoo, cleansers you use can trigger this break out. It is common mongst women. Does it get itchy? Try and limit the amount of products you use that have SLS in them, better if you eliminate them.
To heal the redness, calendula cream works well, not the ointment, the cream as it is very soothing. Do not touch them though as this encourages them to spread.
People have also been using a product called nixoderm. look into it.

i get the same problem. Its like i will be good for a while, then all of a sudden major break out that lasts forever. I am trying to narrow down what I eat or do that causes it. I am going crazy trying to find what it is that causes this. My next question is about the scarring. I wonder what the best way to get rid of the red marks would be??
