Do you tend to break out around your period? Do you notice any patterns when the zits appear, perhaps it's something you ate, or maybe your makeup is comdegnic.

Are you sure they're scars and not redmarks? Did you pick at it?

I'm using aloe vera on my red marks right now, it's healing my red marks surprisingly fast.

You may be right about the bc pills. I went to a medical esthetician once with a holistic background. She told me acne around the mouth relates to gynecological or genitourinary "issues"

Does your pimples look something like this?

If so, then that isn't acne but cold sores or herpes. Visit this website for more info on mouth sores.

my acne is only around my mouth/chin area. I know it has something to do with my hormones because it gets worse right before my period. This a really common place for girls to get acne. when i took ortho trycyclen years ago, my acne got worse so i stopped taking it about a month or two after starting. I've heard some people say that your acne will get better after months on the pill, but I wasn't willing to wait and find out.

uhh I am a guy and this is my only problem area too. It hurts. I have flare-ups like every 2 weeks, and then nothing, and then flare-ups. It is NOT herpes, they are white heads, where I can pop whem, but I don't anymore. Not to mention I am a virgin/ I am thinking of taking b6, as I have heard it is good for balancing hormones...

Do you bite your nails(fingers touching the face)? Do you clean your toothbrush well, or change it frequently(lots of bacteria there)? Do you keep your toothpaste from touching your face(flouride can cause acne)? Do you frequently rest your face on your hand or other surface in this area(more touching)? All these things might be a cause of acne around your face, and something to think about. I even have to be careful what chapstick I put on at night so I don't get zits around my mouth.
