you can use makeup while on accutane. Just make sure it's oil free and Non-Comedogenic. No that it guarantees anything- you have to find what brand works for you. Anyway- I like water based foundation that is made for skin that breaks out. I don't know what witch stick is- is that witch hazel? Don't use anything drying or harsh- think gentle.

Alex, I do theatrical makeup on a part time basis. Assuming that you're not wearing it for long periods of time, and you're being gentle, as long as you remove your makeup thoroughly after you perform, it should not make any difference whatsoever for your skin. It does not matter if it is oil-based or water based; in fact, most theatrical makeups are oil-based, as you probably know. Just use an oil-based product to remove them, then use a cleanser like you normally would to remove the oil-based cleanser! In other words follow the oil based removal of your oil based foundation/base with your regular cleansing routine.

For performing on a stage or in front of a camera, I'd recommend Ben Nye products, specifically their "Creme" or "Matte" foundations. Their consistency is beautiful, as is their coverage and colour range. You need to powder after applying them. You can see their stuff at http://www.bennye.com and their products are generally available at theatrical supply stores.

Hope this helps!
