I'm almost clear! I feel so good! It's crazy. I was at such a low point just a little while ago, and my skin was a mess. My doc told me that the new treatment I want on would cause an initial breakout. It was so bad! I didn't want to go to school or anything. Then, two weeks later, I have one or two tiny red spots that are healing and nothing else.

The confidence boost is insane. I feel like I glow. Seriously, I can see it in the people around me too. I think its cause I went from so sad and insecure to feeling great really quickly. I'm gonna ask my crush out tonight, and I'd bet fifty bucks she'll say yes.

My regimen is:

Antibiotic pill (2 per day)
B5 (3-4 grams per day, 1 gram at a time)
A little diluted anti-biotic gel.

I don't post this to make people jealous or rub my good fortune in, its just that I always post feeling sad and I want to say that I feel good for once. I know that a little acne will come back, but the confidence will stay because I know that I look fine without acne.

I know how you feel. I felt it a few times on my current regimen, after the first week I was looking great, then I broke out. Then it kind of went off and on, then a week and a half with no new breakouts, I felt like I finally had it and was looking great, then....letdown again.

Here's hoping that next time it will be for good. Congrats to you.

I know how you feel, I've been on accutane for 2 weeks and I'm nearly clear already. People are complimenting me on how good I look. I feel so happy and confident. And now I look at people when they speak to me!! biggrin.gif

Well done to the dudes and dudettes who are doing well. I guess we posters here take a vicarious delight at seeing our fellow acne sufferers gaining esteem and some measure of happiness from their clearing skin

You can take them, at least according to my doc. Anti-biotics affect the bacteria, while B5 just changes oil production and regulates hormones. They actually work really well together.

Good luck bro, I hope you feel better.

I just hope it stays this way. I feel like one slip and I'm back where I started. Hopefully that won't turn out true.
