I blame my acne on smokers. I hate all smokers. I just cant seem to get too close to any of them without the word CANCER floating around in my head.
Anyways, it all started back when I was small. I was exposed to a lot of second hand smoke from my dad and thus got VERY VERY bad asthma. I mean it was terrible. I would be watching TV and have the craziest asthma attacks. I couldnt drink anything cold or do any sports. I had an inhaler on me everywhere. Even to bed.
So what does asthma have to do with my acne? The inhalers of course. Everyday puffin up steroids to keep me alive, and we all know steroids cause acne. Also they stunt my growth and now im 14 yrs old, 5"1, with terrible acne(gallery). I built up a very deep hate against smokers and let them smoke for all I care, they can just die faster.

ha, you cant blame other smokers for ure acne... this stuff happens stop searching for a excuse and u just gotta deal with it like everyone else has to... its tough i know but everyone here is going through the same thing.

That sucks, I feel for you. While I whole heartedly believe the acne is aggravated by the steroids, you were probably predisposed to it.
The asthma though...wow-does your dad acknowledge his role in it?

you're right, half of the people dealing with it like to blame it on genetics
but seriously, 6 years of steroids everyday, you dont think thats gunna cause any acne?

No the cruelest part of life is the tendency to constantly pick at your wounds (emotional) and hate and stay angry... for that is self inflicted. Naturally, we think that others DESERVE our anger and resentment, but it only hurts us and they are not affected. So, be angry when something first happens and get it out and over with. For you, since it's a long term suffering, get angry on occassion, but try and let it go and have periods of happiness just so it doesn't steal that from you as well. Don't injure yourself with excessive anger. Purge it completely, and then don't pick at it.
