I bought some mineral makeup from JLynneCosmetics, Ivory Warm to be exact. I normally wear cream to powder or liquid foundations because powder never gives me the coverage I want. That coverage being to hide the redness of my cheeks, nose, and forehead and come the many tiny bumps.

When I apply the mineral smooth foundation with a bit of water, it looks too much like a clay mask or something. So I tried the powder approach, and it looks nice but I have to buff on so much of it to cover my redness. The more I buff the flakier my skin seems to get and I just can't get one even colour throughout my face. Am I missing a step or not applying it right to get full, even coverage? If I apply a concealer to my red spots first then buff on the powder, would that give me the even colour or just clump up the powder?

Maybe I should try the cream mineral foundation, but I fear it may look too much like a clay mask, as the wet powder did. And I really like the light, natural powder feeling.

Being a woman sucks sometimes. smile.gif
Thanks in advance.
