IM SO MAD AT MY FACE! why do i have acne? not only that. im getting taken for a ride by every doctor i go to. accutane didnt work for me twice. and even tho i experienced no side effects and do not want children and havent had children half my adult life and im low risk, they wont put me on it again. what the hell am i going to do?

first off, i am NOT going to take it like i did when i was younger. i dont care if i have to fly to another country. im going to be taking accutane like bubble gum drops. people with acne get treated like crap!! i was treated ABOMINIBALLY!!! ILL NEVER FORGET IT. and its NOT HAPPENING AGAIN.

and when i sternly mention this, i am suddenly" high risk" and maybe even "depressed" or even "emotional".

WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!

this is SO ridiculous that i have to go through life ugly. already i have a bad nose and a bad overbite. acne makes me look like a witch! i look HORRIBLE.

people have abused me with all of their wonderful comments about my zits!!!! shut doors in my face!!!!! i have even had cashiers THROW their change at me for fear of the monster i am with my zits!!! and other wonderful things when i had my acne!!!! is it no wonder that during my first round of accutane, when my skin cleared up in two weeks after taking it, that i got FIRED from my job at the time?? why?? because i looked good and suddenly, i was different and looked stronger!!! ill NEVER forget that!!!!!

I AM ALSO TIRED OF EVERYONE TRYING TO OUTLAW ACCUTANe just because of a few stupid apples who spoil the whole bunch!!!! i would like to take those apples and throw them or something and say THANKS A LOT!!!!!!!

i have no idea what i did to deserve this nightmare. this metamorphisis to beauty to beast!!!! what did i do???

im so totally mad. thanks for listening.

please, if someone is going to go on their "accutane is dangerous" thing, spare me. accutane is not dangerous. maybe for a nut it is dangerous, but then so is a spork. i hate people who leave those kinds of comments. they totally know their trying to upset people, too. leaving their list of "side effects" and "DONT TAKE ACCUTANE".

WHATEVER!!!!

hi i just calmed down. i hope no one will write anything mean to me. this place seems like a really nice place.

i wish i knew about it 10 yrs ago when i first developed acne. the guy who runs this website is an angel for setting it up.

im just really mad because i have had to deal with this crap for so long. i was treated like a sub-human before. for real, when will it end? i have tried EVERYTHING.

one thing about acne is that i am totally a changed person. people are mean. and i see the depths of how mean they are. but i also see that people are not just their superficial qualities. they are spirits and souls. i never judge anyone for how they look now whereas i might have before.

but on the other hand I THINK I LEARNED THE LITTLE LIFE LESSON. class over, please!

hi. i could understand your pain. I was never really treated abominably by anybody because of my acne (i studied in a highly academic high school, and people don't care about your acne as long as you're getting As). When i went to college almost everyone had some blemishes on their skin, so it was no big deal.

but inspite of this i am highly sensitive of any remark people make on my acne. i hate it when they say things like, "you're looking good today," or "have you tried..." but i let their remarks slide away.

ever since i lived here in the US i became different though. people here make fun of you if you look different. in my country making joking remarks about physical deformity (in public) is considered *extremely* rude. here in the US it is almost the norm to make fun of the strange one. It was quite a shock for me to find out that people judge you here by appearance, and not by your brains.

but anyways....i hope you'll find a derm who'll prescribe you accutane. maybe something in your medical history make them hesitate to give you access to the drug (suicide attempts, schizophrenia, dangerous chemical levels). or maybe your approach is wrong...sometimes you have to charm these people in letting you have your way....being hysterical and demanding won't do any good. if they prescribe another drug, try to take them, and maybe if the derm sees there's no other way but accutane treatment again, he'll prescribe it to you.

good luck!

Hi, where are you from?

I didn't mean to sound crazy, although I'm sure I did. Avne makes me feel crazy.

Just to defend myself, I don't have a psychological problem. Actually, in an effort to clear up my skin, I saw counselors to "relieve my stress" and I was told there is nothing wrong with me. I do understand where some doctors are coming from though. They don't want to take a chance. And maybe they are just trying to feel out the situation. And I should exercise more patience.

But it's just that before the first time I went on Accutane, I existed 5 years with severe cystic acne. It was so tough. And it really hurts to rememeber the memories and to think that maybe I won't be able to get the medicine. I know I have to play smart and eventually I'll get it. But it's exhausting and I do worry that maybe I won't get it.

I see what you are saying about there being a cultural difference though. I never went to a good school or anything. But I am American and I'm aware there are more polite cultures on the globe mostly because my husband is foreign. He has made me see that people here are very physical and see the physical, although he never said that in so direct a way. So I see what you are getting at. I think it's true. And there is something wrong with it for sure.

Thank you for your well wishes. I hope things work out well for you as well.

You seem to have a lot of pent-up agression.

Why don't you buy an uzi 9mm and go on a rampage?

i'm from a small provincial town in the Philippines, but I live here now in NJ.

yeah, big cultural difference. Asians tend to be more polite. Distant, but at least polite.

i've had bouts of clearness too, and it makes me sooo frustrated - beautiful today, ugly the next day. at least you know that Accutane will work for you. And you can always buy it online, as a last resort (at your own risk, of course, but that's your decision). i haven't tried accutane and i don't even know if my derm will prescribe it to me. I hope so. If not, i might have to do the online thingy lol.

be patient. your skin will clear again.
