I've got both and I'm trying to decide which of them I'm going to be pre-occupied with for the next little while. Neither of them I can do much about, acne gets better with treatment but doesn't go away completely; and I can't get braces while I'm still in school because it's too damn expensive. Now, being that I can't multitask too well, I gotta obsess over one and only one. I'm leaning toward the teeth - maybe in my obsessive state I'll rip out the most obviously crooked one and be done with it. Cast your votes now, and make a contribution to my obsessive compulsive disorder!

acne because my insurance pays for all the medications/perscriptions to help fight it and not for braces.

fix your braces - but do something for your acne as well...buy some herbal supplements a(about $10-$20), a *big* green tea bar soap ($8), 100% Tea Tree Oil ($17-$20) that you can dilute for washing and for spot treatment, and a noncomedogenic moisturizer ($7-$20). Not that expensive.

watch what you eat too - you'll probably not be able to eat that much because braces are painful.

Dude I had braces for almost 4 fucking years..and trust me, they suck. Most kids don't have them that long but my damn orthodontist was all old fashioned and believed in doing it correct or something like that. Anyway...it can be a long haul.

I have both too, but I'm working on the teeth with invisalign. Personally I'd rather have crooked teeth. At least you can get away sometimes without talking as much and people noticing. And pictures....just don't open your mouth when you smile. Plus you don't have to worry about medications, diet, weather, or even just your boyfriend touching your face!

well my teeth are not perfectly straight because of wisdom teeth! I'm going to have them pulled! shock.gif eusa_wall.gif
So one wisdom tooth is really croocked (sp?) and recently I've experienced the problems of it! I bit myself and now I have a wound there and can't chew properly... and can't eat, because it hurts so much! That tooth always hitting it so I think it's going to take awhile to heal.
Others started to get croocked too, and my dentist suggested braces, but now way I'm gonna do that! I'm happy with my teeth, other that they are weak and get cavities all the time.
So soon no wisdom teeth, no bad teeth..

hey does anyone know if they really put you to sleep when they pull the wisdom teeth out? I'm scared! cry.gif

*sigh* I am currently in dire need of the financial ability to undergo orthodontic treatment. I have to wait till I'm finished school and have a job first (which will be 3 to 4 years more - grad school). The acne goes away as long as I sleep properly (which I can't - insomnia). So I think it's the teeth that are going to piss me off for longer.

^^^ For wisdom teeth they don't actually put you to sleep but they use nitrous oxide which gives you a rather euphoric feeling at first, but you soon lose consciousness. Although I distinctly remember solving a first order linear differential equation the moment I regaind consciousness and I said as much and the dental assistant looked at me funny.

If you don't do anything about your teeth you'll always have the problem and most likely the chances of acne clearing in time are high but you'll be left with crooked teeth...I had braces for 3 years and think you should defo go for it! It's worth it in the long run.

I'd rather have acne than crooked teeth. I noticed I usually look at people's teeth when I talk to them. Teeth can be the most attractive thing about a person's face.
