I just saw an infomercial regarding PUR Mineral on the shopping channel at a really great price. I was wondering if it mineral makeups are good for skin with acne. Has anyone tried it?

i find that liquid makeup makes me break out, the mineral on the other hand does not. but be careful...if you layer on to much powder at once, it can turn cakey and make acne look worse, so use light layers and gradually apply more if needed its easier to add it than take it away

I found that too, RayRay, if I put on too much dry powder it looked cakey. Lately though I've been applying it with a damp brush and works SO much better. A couple layers does me fine and it stays put longer and doesn't look cakey at all.

I've been using PUR minerals for the past 6 months and I love it. It's very easy to apply and I like the fact that the concealer, SPF, powder, and foundation is all in one compact. I was skeptical at first because I'm african american and it's very difficult to match my skin tone, but the Dark shade is great for me and I've got my mom using it as well. biggrin.gif

I am actually pretty clear (now my 7th week on the regimen) but i have red marks than havent healed and quite a few older red marks that might scar. i find it covers great. im using Pure Luxe Cosmetics, i use the "What Red?" (green corrector powder) first then layer on the foundation in "Suntan". check out the website, the owner sells samples VERY CHEAP (Full sizes are larger and cheaper than Bare Minerals too) and the sifter jars are so convientent.

My advise would be to order samples from a few different mineral makeup companies and see which ones you like best. I've found I like Aromaleigh and Jlynnes cosmetics the best of all I've tried. Also, if you tend to get oily when you wear makeup, aromaleigh's porcelain mattifying primer is awesome.

I'm very pleased with the coverage. It covers everything and the best thing is that you can control how much to put on.

I was using Dermablend before and what a total pain that was........

Thank goodness I stumbled across the Home Shopping Channel eusa_clap.gif
