After applying the moisturizer, I use a green corrector and on the top of that I use some corrective make up (teint). All the products (from La roche posay) have been recommended by the doctor. I love the moisturizer cause it's pretty soft and helps to remove the scars...but I kind of get desperate when I try to use the make up.

My skin is peeling a little bit from roaccutan and differin...that I'm taking has a treatment. I don't have any breakouts any more but all I wanted was to hide the marks and it's so difficult, since my skin is peeling. After I apply everything I look in the mirror and I hate it cause if you look closely you can see I'm wearing make up, cause if the peeling that doesn't help to spread the make up.

Do you know of any tricks to prevent this. I apply it with my fingers and have tried to mix a bit of moisturizer and base make up...to help spreading but it doesn't work now...I used to put this more easily than now...because now my skin is renovating cause of roaccutan. Please can you help me?

Thanx
Maria

exfoliate... apparently baking soda works as a great exfoliator, but i have yet to try it.

i apply my makeup with a sponge, you can get a foundation brush too, that works really well.

What I do is right before I'm going to apply my makeup, I wipe my face with a very gentle toner on a cotton ball.. that gets all of the flakes off. I usually do it once, wait a couple minutes, and do it again. I could never ever wear makeup without doing this..between the flakyness and the product residue it would just look like shit.

Thanx a lot. That seems to be a nice trick and it makes every sense. I think I also must find some foundation that is less dry...you know more fluid, like a cream.

I guess we kind of have to learn about things we had never thought it could be necessary. I'm someone that always hated make up and stuff like that....and here I am using it...I guess the need changes us.

Thanx

I always cleanse and tone before I apply my makeup, then use a good moisturiser, at the moment i'm using Garnier's Pure A moisturier as it has zinc and salicylic acid and does seem to be helping my skin. And i've tried a silly amount to get one that works with my skin!!

Its important to allow the moisturiser to sink in for a few mins before applying foundation or concealer as otherwise it'll slide off which is always a nightmare. I really like Maxfactors colour adapt as its less...well i dunno its doesn't slide off or make me look all shiney like neutrogena did. Especially if you do sports or goto nightclubs...you really don't want to get hot- think you look ok-ish then look in the mirror to see half your foundation on ur top......argghh seriously i've been there and its not good sad.gif

I've suffered with bad skin for about 4yrs now so have learnt a few tricks to covering up *mingin*facey*badbits*

***Remember to make the most of ur best bits too so for me I make sure when I go out I make up my eyes a bit extra to boost ur confidence a little***

Taa for all the new tips guys n gals x x x
