Well, I kinda pick at my skin, and its kind of a bad habit of mine, well it leaves scars on my face, well I absolutley HATE my skin.. it ruins my life sad.gif I have some scars and some redness on my skin right now and I really want to cover it up without looking chalky, patchy, and like Im actually wearing make-up, I have pretty oily dry skin, so what concealers and or methods can help me out?? My self-esteem is like below zero with my bad skin... and I really want a bf.. u know? but with my skin and all Im not confident and Im emberrased by my blemishes.

Someone PLEASE help me I need to find some good concealers that I can buy at stores, not over the internet only. Thanks I will really appreciate it eusa_angel.gif

Do a search for dermablend, coverblend, illuminare, revlon colorstay/newcomplexion, mineral makeup.

I use MAC studio finish, I find that it "covers up" the best. I've been using it for nearly 6 months, and there is still plenty left!

just to let you know, from my experience, DONT use
the concealer pencil from the body shop (i cant remember its proper name), it might make you break out more, well... in my case they did!

hope that helps!

A good bet is to check the reviews on makeupalley.com. It should be more helpful than the foundation reviews (ie the sheer stuff won't get great reviews, and a lot of the people will be acne prone unless they're talking about how it creases or doesn't crease under the eyes).

..unless you have fair skin. neutral.gif I tried that once...it seemed like the formula might have been good, but the lightest color was way too dark for me.

^ I use Revlon Colorstay foundation in Ivory and it's good for quite pale skin because it's not orangey like a lot of them. Was Ivory the colour you used in the concealer? My sister is very fair and this colour still worked quite well on her skin too.

Neutrogena is the best! The one without SA in it. It covers beutifully for the whole day! I even forget that I have acne!

I also have to give a vote to MAC's studio finish concealer. (the one in the little pot) I have used it for YEARS and it is a staple in my cosmetic routine.

I have Really light skin but this is what I do...

I use Smashbox's PHOTO FINISH Foundation Primer first to get a smooth, glass-like texture (but you don't need a primer) then Revlon's colorstay concealer and then I use a foundation over it to hide the pigment. I mostly wear MAC Studio Fix foundation but sometimes STUDIO SEAMLESS liquid foundation by Smashbox for special events.
- Primer (optional)
- Concealer
- Foundation
