I got an update. So I've been doing some research and analyzing the factors in my life that may be abnormal enough to be causing the acne. My diet's pretty standard, as is most else in my life, but then I realized something. I'm somewhat of a hermit, and I spend most of my day indoors, without exposure to the sunlight, especially since my blinds are shut in my windows.
Our skin naturally uses sunlight to synthesize Vitamin D, however the downside to this is that it degrades collagen (elastic) fibers in your skin, thus leading to aging skin, as well as the risk of skin cancer due to UV rays. Despite this, I thought that the lack of sunlight was probably a factor. Humans have been living in the sunlight since their dawn--our recently sedentary lifestyles are creating this lack of sun now.
Today I spent about a half-hour outside during lunch where I would normally otherwise stay inside. I also took a long sleep during the day with my windows blinds pulled up open so the sun could shine in on my face. Honestly, it's been nearly 6 hours since I've woken up, and the quality of my facial skin feels really great.
They say that sunlight can interfere with acne medications, so I wouldn't recommend this to everyone. But today it's been great to me, especially since I haven't been on topicals for 6 months. I'm going to continue getting a healthy amount of sunlight daily. I'm fairly confident this is the key factor in my acne production.
Hope this helps you guys.
This is the only thing I'm doing to modift and better fit my own water only regimen--
I bought a monthly tanning package today, 8 mins in a bed only.. but I'm hoping it will improve since I've worked a graveyard shift for the last nine months, and I've lived on this lake spending every summer in the sun BESIDES this year.. =(
