I'll be goin on accutane soon and i want to be prepared for the dry skin and flakiness i'll be experiencing. Mineral makeup will definitely not work since it accetuates flaky skin. I'm thinking of buying a cream foundation since i suppose it will be thick enough to cover the flaky skin and provide enough coverage at the same time. Most importantly, doesnt make me break out.
Any recommendations?

Hi there!
You may want to give minerals a try, because as long as you moisturize (VERY big key!) your skin should take to the mineral foundation very well.
If you prefer something creme-based, Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse is nice, and you can get medium coverage that gives a soft finish. I used to love Cover Girl's Aqua Smooth Foundation -- nice, creamy, medium/heavy coverage -- but I could never find the right shade! A nice alternative to mineral makeup though.

Bobbi Brown's foundations and powders are the best I have ever used (I've tried everything from Jane to Chanel. I love Bobbi Brown!

I too am starting my course on accutane, this will be my second run with it.
When I was on it the first time, I hardly wore make-up, but my suggestion would be try ALMAY, it's hypoallagenic (sp?) that's important being on accutane.
Let me know how your doing as you start the treatments on accutane.

We don't have Almay over here.
But i think i might try the revlon colorstay as recommended by the rest. And i have palladio on its way to me now...so i'll update again!
