I love acne.org so much that i just have to add my own 2 cents in to help anyone who wants to have a clearer looking skin. I also think it's faboulous that we are all trying to help each other reach the same goal: getting rid of acne. Some of your already know these tips. So here goes the list to a clearer skin......

- change your pillow case often (i always sleep on my right side and i noticed that, it suffer more than the other side of the face. Pillow case has lots of bacteria built up from your hair and face)

- Learn to combat stress (i know this one is really hard but more stress = more acne, try some stress relieving technique such as meditation, yoga, music therapy, deep breathing exercise, walking etc, find one that could most benefit you)

- Seriously avoid touching your face

- drink green tea or water with lemon (i noticed this helps improve my skin clarity)

- Try delna's reigment (if you havent try it yet, i felt this is the most promising one for me)

- Do NOT scrub your face (the more i scrub my face, the redder it gets and the more break out i get )

- Obtain a hobbie (this will help your mind off acne and the less you obsessee with it the less you damage your skin)

- Have hope ( remember that majority of people does grow out of acne, it may take time so be patient)

well here is the list, i know it doesn't look that promising but it does help abit. if anyone else has more suggestions or tips that worked for them, please feel free to add. razz.gif

With the exception of Delna's now famous recipe, I have been practicing the steps you've outlined the better part of my life, and I'm in my thirties and I still have acne. These are just fine, but for me they serve merely as a supplement to the number one ingredient in helping to clear my skin: bp.

I'm very hygienic, I have always had hobbies and practiced sports, am super duper gentle with my skin. I also drink green tea regularly, though not for my acne, but because I enjoy it. It's been irrelevant to my skin health.

Obviously, I have not grown out of acne, given the fact that I've had it for nearly a quarter of a century. As you can imagine, my patience ran out two decades ago. So I doubt it's useful for me to be hopeful. I knew with every cell of my being, when I still had acne in my early twenties, that I would have it for the rest of my twenties and thirties. It's actually worsened over the years, by that I mean, it has spread to my jawline, and even over the recent months, my neck a bit. My skin is every bit as oily (left untreated i.e. without moisturizer) today as it was when I was 12 years old.

For two weeks I tried Herbal Logix, and it was nothing but a good moisturizer, another experiment that hasn't worked for me. I just don't like the bleaching effect of the bp, which is why I occasionally try other methods. It took me two to three weeks for my face to get over 95% clear once I started using bp again.

I'm sure you mean very well and sound like a supportive person, but benzoyl peroxide has been the only effective method for me to treat my acne, regardless of the type of cleanser or moisturizer I've used, or hygienic or stress-reducing habits. Bp overrides these issues for me.

One thing you may be right about is that the majority of people grow out of acne, though a fair number develop the disease for the first time upon the end of puberty or, for women, with the onset of menopause. My three siblings grew out of their acne. Yet, I lead the healthiest lifestyle of the four of us, which I lead to be a healthy person emotionally and physically, not to help my acne or because I think it would help. I just wasn't as lucky as them.

Just wondering.... does washing your face with ice cold water in the morning helps?

Cold = making your pores smaller, which is good

Actually for some reason when I bathe, I always gradually turn the temperature up. I mean what is warm at one point feels less warm and thus I increase the temperature. At the end of my bath, I notice the water left on my skin gives off steam.. that's how hot it is. Is this good or bad?

Don't get too excited, I think a lot of people on here tend to over-exaggerate/bullshit even (not that I'm saying the first poster is), but I've tried a lot of these things people say fade their marks 75% in like a day or whatever and they do fuck all or just make things worse. It's not really worth getting your hopes up too much about anything.

Delna's regimen just seemed to make my skin look even blotchier.

Yeah, take everything with a grain of salt. When I heard about the whole Neosporin on the face, I went out bought all the shit and got the worst breakout of my life. I was soo excited about it too, I was thinking I would be clear because Jesse got clear. The fact is, it may help but it won't help 100%. I've learned time is the best thing for everything. People rush and hurt themselves more. Red Mark vs Scar? I would stick with your normal reg. The eggwhite mask probably will help but will take time for drastic results.
