Just found this site a couple of days and it has already helped a lot. It is nice to read that others are going through the same stuff I am. Well I best introduce myself. I am 23 and broke out with cystic acne about a year ago. Luckly I have it under control but am left with scars all over my face. I have had one smoothbeam treatment and my next one is this Monday. I haven't noticed any changes after my first treatment but then I look at my face all the time so it is hard to tell. I used to have really bad red marks all over but now they are lighter. It is still hard to deal because I feel that everyone notices and stares. I'm sure I'm just paranoid smile.gif Everyday is a struggle as I am surrounded by people with smooth skin. I know few people have prefectly smooth skin but that doesn't make it easier. It is weird because now I wish I could do simple things like wear my hair back or have short hair. Stuff I never thought about before. Crazy. It is hard to go out and hang out with my friends as I find myself staring at their skin and being so jealous. I know I have to stay positive but on the bad days it seems impossible. Well I guess I have blabbed on enough.

Hello Stella, What kind of scars are you trying to help with smoothbeam? From what I have read, it takes as many as six treatments before you start to see signigicant results. I'm sure the time span has a lot to do with the improvement. I think smoothbeam is best for rolling scars and reduction of active acne. Good Luck to you! biggrin.gif

I have boxcar scars on my checks and hairline and some rolling scars on my jaw line on the right side of my face. When you look at me straight on you can't see the scars but when you look at my side profile they are very obvious. I had my second smoothbeam on Monday which went well but is very painful when they zap the active acne. I don't have a lot of active acne anymore so I am concentrating on the scars. I was also told that I needed to do 6 treatments and that most people see results after four.

Welcome to the ACNE website! dont let other ppl put u down cuz u got acne, i just let it pass. when someone talks about my face, i pretend not to hear it. my day goes by much faster and better when i feel like my face is getting better...which in reality its probably not!
