I need help picking a foundation please

I am 30 years old and have been on the Regimen for about 2 weeks now. My acne (moderate) is clearing up nicely but my face is a scaly flaky mess. I know that will eventually subside so I am trying to be patient with it.
I have quite oily skin that is EXTREMELY sensitive. I have always used either Cover Girl or Maybelline (whatever is cheapest *blush* ) but I am really needing something that will give me nice even coverage, not too heavy, and that isn't too oily and won't make me break out again. I hate the "cakey" make up, but I find I need better coverage than I have been getting. I get so lost in the makeup aisle, they all look the same and I didn't want to waste my money on something that is not appropriate for me. I am not all that makeup-savvy, so I have no clue what I am looking for.
Any suggestions for something on the low end of the price scale that I could find at either Walmart or Shoppers Drug Mart???
Many thanks

I don't remember on any of them saying that they "Won't clog pores"
Try MaxFactor COLOUR adapt
it's a skin-tone adapting makeup.
When you just put it on, it doesn't look like it's your color (as usual) but after 5 minutes you have a flawless skin! Trust me -)))
also don't forget to still pick a color that's closest to your skin.

Actually they both say "non comedongenic" (sp) which means "won't clog pores". I use covergirl, which is great but I'll be looking for something else since they don't have my color.

I've heard "trumatch" and "Revlon Color Stay" are good. not sure if I remembered that correctly since I have used neither. I love covergirl aquasmooth, however color is my only problem with it (everything else about it works great for me).
I'd also say, cheap is cheap. Usually if you want something higher quality it'll be more $$$$

anyway..it's next to impossible to pick the right color. So the skin tones adapting ones are the best!

If you're looking for super-inexpensive makeup, Wal-Mart carries a line called RIMMEL which is supposed to be good quality and very cheap. I've also heard of a line called E.L.F. which is wicked cheap (something like $1 per product?!) but you have to purchase online.
If you'd like to invest a bit more in your cosmetics down the line, please think about mineral makeup! It's excellent for sensitive and acneic skin, and it will make you look fabulous too!
Take care!

I bought Rimmel because it was cheap and my face broke out after using it.
Maybe someone else here has used it and had better results?

I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, because I discovered the foundation I used to use, didn't state it was non-comedogenic..
So far so good, with Maybelline, anyway.. no break-outs and it doesn't make my sensitive skin feel horrible..
Their EverFresh foundation states that it's non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and non-acnegenic..

If you go to a MAC counter the SA's will usually help you find a match. Just make sure to check outside in the sun to see that its a good match. I really wouldnt recommend MAC to acne prone skin. My friend has always had *perfect* skin, not one blemish or blackhead until she started using the MAC foundation. If I were you, I would go for a mineral foundation.. preferably one without bismuth as that can clog your pores and cause you to break out. Some really good mineral foundations with great coverage are Aromaleigh and Alpha Skincare. They both offer samples for $2 each. So, you can order as many as you can afford and try them out to see which ones match your skintone. HTHS!

But I will try Aromaleigh or Alpha Skincare if I break out again -))
btw, why in the world would your friend use a foundation if her skin is perfect? Did you tell her that she's being silly and that some people's dream is to go outside withouth the ugly foundation on?

Hello everyone, I am new here so please forgive me if this has been covered before, but I am feeling a little desperate.

in my opinion, you would be best to buy a moisturiser for sensitive skin ssuch as E45, which is available on perscription for most. this should take care of your dry skin. as for make up as long as it is oil free (non comedogenis) and suitable for your sensitive skin you should be fine. ask the helpers for advice, they will be only 2 glad 2 give it.

I know.. very frustrating! She uses it to even out her skintone I guess.
