I've tried the baking soda...it is great! My skin is softer and more even-toned, even the blackheads on my nose are better.. Definitely a good one! Also olive oil has been helping me with a giant bad scab. Can't wait to try the egg whites and Apple Cider Vinegar. How did it go, dantspants?

Ive been using this method on my back now for about 5 days. Its difficult to know for sure, but I think theres been a slight improvement. I'm on accutane and know I shouldn't be exfoliating, but I'm doing it anyway. If there is a noticeable improvement after 2 weeks, I will keep it up, otherwise I will try something else.

^ I'm the same as you. I use the mask ONLY because the BS & ACV irritated my skin, and I am still getting great results. It's worth a shot, I think you should try it.

I'm starting this regimen today and i'll keep you updated on how it worked eusa_dance.gif (so far the baking soda idea was wonderful, my skin looked amazing after that)

Okay, it's been 2 days and i can see an improvement, and my parents commented saying that it looks lighter, and my skin is smoother. So it really works smile.gif (It seems to be working better than the TCA peel i did recently)

guys...which one helps with the fading red marks? the egg mask or the BS + ACV?
or if they both help...which one helps more? I can only use the egg mask, but if you guys say its the BP/ACV then i will use that as well....im just scared bec. my skin is very sensitive from a recent peel.

I need to know asap, bec. if i dont see a slight improvement in a week, im forced to do a laser treatment which is $$$$!

The egg mask is supposed to help fade red marks...it's been working for me. I've been on it for about 2 weeks now, everyday. I wasted 3K on lasers...I think the egg mask worked better because it also improved the look of my skin. The lasers helped fade the marks but they were back again when I had my next breakout. I think lasers are OK if you can afford them and if you have your acne completely under control. I have yet to try the ACV consistently...

Reading through about 13 pages of this thread and seeing the amount of success stories from people, at one time I'm really suspecting about it at yet at the same time I really want to give a try, at least one at it.

So, I guess I'll give a shot at this regime tomorrow.. and see how the first effect will be. I'll need to get ACV first though... but I'm really unsure about this so, I'm going to experiment it on a small area on my face --- the chin, and it has a couple of pimples on it, less serious than the other area on the face.

My skin has been getting really sensitive lately, so I'd expect a really bad sting from both the baking soda as well as the ACV.

Any asians down here and is currently trying out this regime? How is your progress?

And Delna, are you still on board? gasp.gif

Wow Delna. This regimen looks really promising. I can't wait to try it, but I am currently on a Minocycline + Benzaclin regimen my doctor prescribed for 1 month.

I will try this as soon as that 1 month is up. Thank you so much for posting this thread!

But just one question - I am of East Indian descent (dark skinned), and I do not have red scars. I have hyper-pigmented spots (dark-brown) scars. I also have active acne (moderate). Has Delna's regimen worked for anyone with this type of skin?

Cool! smile.gif Did it irritate your skin or anything? What products are you using along with this regime? You tried all or just BS and ACV?

By the way, anyone that is on this regime, can you all take a picture of how the mixture for the eggwhite mask looks like??? Pleasee?? Thanks thanks!!

Careful w/ the baking soda, it affects your skin's pH levels significantly.

Yeap, thanks Butch_. I just wanna give a try and see whether my skin can take it.. testing on a small area first or something.

EDIT: Just wanna say that I just tried the regimen Delna recommended 5 minutes ago, but only the Baking soda and Apple Cider Vinegar first on a test area --- my chin, with 2 pimple buddies at the moment but I doubt they are active because they've been there for a month no matter how many times I dabbed Neutrogena On-The-Spot (BP 2.5%) on it.

I'm not a daredevil, so I start off with a little section of my face to see if the skin can take it. If there's other method to test something new on face skin, please tell me. biggrin.gif Thanks! I'd like to know. I have mild acne and I have slightly bad scarring on my left cheeks but it's not disturbing me a lot. smile.gif

It's at night at the moment, I'm going to bed soon but I wanna put a little progress of it even though it's not much. tongue.gif Just a lil long....

Sorry, I was about to take pictures of how the BS mixed with water and the 1:10 - ACV:Water mixture looks like but I totally forgot about it. I had my ACV+Water solution in a mini spray bottle. I thought this way it'd be handy but I'm not sure if the lelftover solution can be use the next day. smile.gif

It's a teaspoon of ACV and teaspoons of 10 water. Well, I'm testing on the chin on so this should be enough. Perhaps, if you wanna hit the whole face, I suppose it's tablespoon instead. Likewise, a teaspoon-full of baking soda with a few drops of water just enough to make it slightly soluble, like a wasabi-looking paste but white in color.

After reading through like 30+ pages, I noticed people are saying that it stings after putting on the BS solution. So I was expecting that to happen but it didn't.. For a while, as I washed away the BS off my face, I thought it felt smoother and the 2 pimple buddies isn't as rough as it was when I usually felt during cleansing with the cleanser.

Next, there were people who wrote that the ACV + Water stings too... and I was expecting that as well but ....noooope. No feeling either. But you know, I have loads of mini white heads on the bottom of my lips... after washing away the ACV, the white heads are still there but less visible no matter how I try to make it visible.

So, is my eyes making fun of me?! saywhat.gif In fact, I feel good after application of those. If tomorrow morning, I wake up to find myself totally alright, I'll try the BS and ACV on all over my face and I'll report the progress down here. smile.gif

I hope my skin is cooperating. smile.gif

Goodnight!

Morning 1

I woke up and the first thing I thought of was if anything I did last night worked which was:

Baking powder (not soda) scrub
1:10 ratio of Apple cider vinnegar - I want to start at the bottom and work up to avoid breakouts
And the mask.

My first impression:

WOW

It seemed my red marks have faded dramticly, I'll keep doing this nightly, but one question. Even with such a low concentrate ACV mixture, my face was still a little red when I applied, but when I woke up this morning I saw no bad effects. Should I keep using this delna? Anyone?

what is apple cider vinegar? is it just vinegar plus water at a ratio of 1 to 8?

It's vinegar yea.. but it comes in a bottle with the name Apple Cider Vinegar.

You should be able to find them in the mart or those organic food stores.

True, it's a little much work needed but still, it's worth a try. If it doesn't suit the face, then drop it. If it does, go ahead. Afterall, it's once a day, in the night, when you have the time.

Don't want to be a buzzkill for those people above who happen to get results from the baking soda, but here's the thread that discusses skin pH. I had used the baking soda four times only, not bad results.

Interesting! Thank you. smile.gif

Are you still using BS/ACV?
