I also use Benzac 2.5%, Neutrogena Moisture and Johnson and Johnson Top to Toe (Australia's equivalent to Head to Toe which has the exact same ingredients as Purpose Face Wash)

Hi
I'm in Brisbane..have moderate ice pick scarring but have had great results with make up coverage using Max Factor pancake foundation. Its a dry pncake, that you apply with a damp sponge. When it drys it actually feels soft to touch/powdery, but the down side is it feels a bit 'tight'.
But when you are paranoid about the look of your scars, you dont care what something feels like...only what it looks like, know what i mean?

ps am considering surgical options..laser, graft etc etc.. any expereices in Brisbane i should know about/avoid?

I use benzac 5% from my local pharmacy, I use a Dermalogica toned sunscreen 40% spf during summer because I work on a property and do some long hot days during summer, I often rinse in Oxy antibacteria wash if I have been handling grain or out in dust (every day in the last 8months because of the drought), moisturisers are the thing I am still mucking around with, I still havn't found the perfect one, I have tried so many, at the moment I am using an Ultraceuticals antioxident moisturiser and so far so good, it is was around $30 for 100ml but has lasted ages, it is only available via skin docs!

My skin condition is ok, occasional pimples every now and then here and there, many blackheads around the nose, in between my eyebrows and on my chin as well. My skin type is Combination skin so it is a bitch to take care of it :) I have scars from my youth pizza-faced time, but I had them 'fixed' with laser treatment. They are still quite visible but not as deep, and some of the skin are still growing as it takes months for the skin to reach the 'even' layer. Sometimes I still feel self-conscious with my scars though, and I avoid standing under direct sunlight or lighting because of fear that people might notice them
I use Ponds Clear Solutions Deep Pore Scrub for Combination Skin in the shower, then wait until my face dry naturally, use Witch Hazel as a toner, and Nivea Optimale Triple Performance Creme (I don't think Nivea produces this anymore though, or maybe the have changed the name to something else).
Recently I have been using Blackmores Blackhead Remover to get rid of blackheads. My dermatologist - who did the laser treatment on me - told me that it is a good idea to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads as they are what cause pimples.
I also use Biore Pore Perfect Nose Strip to take away the blackheads on my nose as there are quite a lot of them there. But I find that Blackmore Blackhead Remover does the same job.

Hey guys. I'd trawl chemists and Priceline (I live in Melbourne, Victoria) but couldn't find Neutrogena On The Spot Acne Treatment. I'm not sure whether we get the stuff here and I'm keen to continue looking. But if you guys weren't successful on finding it either then what do you use as a substitute for Benzoyl Peroxide? Any suggestions?

In australia we have 'benzac' which is available in 2.5%, 5% and 10% strength.
Stick to the 2.5%

i would not exactly reccommend any one neutrogena on the spot acne treatment. It might dry out your skin and your skin will start peeling quite badly. I once used it and it made my skin worse. I prefer using tea tree oil which can be bought from the body shop.

Wash with Burts Bees Wild Lettuce Complexion Soap.
It is the best cleanser I've found yet
Clean and Clear Moisturiser
Tea Tree oil- forehead only to get rid of those tiny bumps
Oxy 5 in the morning
Oxy 5 and Oxy 10 at night

It's so cool how in Australia we can get benzac without a perscription! :D I reckon its better than other BP formulations, so do all the derms i've been to, because its water based it dosen't irritate d skin as much and it comes in a 50g economy tube??

Is blackmores Blackhead Remover recommended? I can find it in S'pore. Is the cleanser good? 'benzac' 2.5% which is available here too, why all of you recommended this? :D
